close enough, welcome back Bennet Foddy.
Just a thing i noticed ur audio plays a bit late, In unity in audio import settings set it to "Stream Audio" or smth like that....i hard the hardest time solving the same problem in my game
Can't really think how but there surely must be a way inform the player about what keys are changing without looking down at the controls UI element. It's a interesting concept but I felt that the spin to win theme wasn't really that present. Still beat it
Totally hear you, Im thinking of implementing a pop-up image with the new keys if I get around to post jam updates... for the spin to win theme we were thinking that a car has a wheel you spin to move (& "win" the game) and a wheel that spins to "reset" your controls, but yeah definitely not as present of a feature as it was in your game (which btw I really liked, you did a great job) thanks for playing!!
This has potential to be one of those rage games. amazing I like it.
Just like driving after a beer, hey that bump is shape like a deer.
Like if there were collectables that made you swap things back to normal would nice,
or make it even harder, so it less random, give the player the ability to choose, a bit I guess, instead of had to accept the wheel of car control swap fate
I really like the game, although having my keybinds changed mid-game threw me off lol.
You should have given some sort of tutorial to explain the game mechanics. It's hard to think about your audience when you're the developer and it's obvious what your game does, and what the correct way to play it is, but tutorials help out a TON with enjoyment. I had to learn the mechanics myself, which really hurt the game, but otherwise it's still a nice concept. 7/10
I think I would enjoy it more if I could figure out which buttons did what a little easier, like maybe instead of just saying which buttons go which way, maybe have a picture of the keys and have the directions switch to whichever key on the picture? That way you could visually see them a bit easier and be able to react faster. But I do really the idea, and I think the intense music with the cute art is pretty fun!
Very cute game and art style, sadly pretty frustrating without any explanations of the challenges beforehand
The art is nice and the driving feels pretty good until the controls switch which messes with my mind.
The driving feels good. My skills are too terrible though, keep falling off.
very nice visuals, the mechanic is fun but i wish the "random" wheel thingy told beforehand what is going to happen to my controls, very neat!
