Good game!

This was soooo much fun, very well put together, excellent player feedback. The only thing I could say to revisit is the UI, some of it is a little small, making it difficult to read at times. Otherwise fantastic work

I shall echo some of the sentiments here: very interesting, very well done, and oozes the vibes of Balatro. The visual style is just very compelling. The ambient synth is a nice touch to bring together this oddly mysterious atmosphere.

Though, the UI is a bit awkward to read/look at even in full screen. I get the sense it was to not be intrusive, but it did make it tough to understand the tutorial. The audio work is great but some of the higher pitched sounds became grating to me; it might just be in this regard, but maybe adding some sort of (loosely permissive) high pass filter might help with equalizing those tones out.

Overall, if you decide to continue with this jam game, I think you have a pretty fun thing on your hands! It's a good base to build from, and well polished for the time allotted.

This is quite a cool concept - definitely a unique spin on the genre! I have a few complaints however. First of all, there's a performance issue it seems - whenever I fullscreen (which is basically essential to actually read the text in the game) my FPS drops significantly (can't say exact numbers but it looks like 10-20 by my eye). For reference, I have a Ryzen 5 5600G, RTX 3050, and 24gb of RAM. Additionally, it would've been nice to have a volume slider since the audio is mixed a bit strangely (the SFX is a tad loud in my opinion). A more interactive tutorial would've been nice - it took me (and it seems a lot of others) a hot second to get a handle on the game, which may put off some people not bothered to put in the work to actually learn.

To be a bit more positive, I quite like the eerie background music that persists throughout the game. The art is pretty great too, though I think it would've benefitted from scaling up a bit! Overall a solid game that could use a bit of extra work!

Fun concept, it took a bit to get the scoring system but once i did it got pretty fun. One improvement i can suggest is some modifier / subquest  or challenge to get more gold per round eg. complete the round only using one suit gives x3 gold

I was lowkey a bit stupid at first, but started understanding a bit more as I played. It's easy to pick up and there are a lot of ways to approach and optimize a run, which I think is really cool.

The visuals are amazing. I love the style, the music in the background, and how much control I have when I play the game. Great touch having the cards tell you where on the clock you end up.

Quick question, though, I'm not sure I was too absorbed not to notice but does the money always scale off the amount of cards left over and nothing else? I'm interested in how the game would feel if I were able to get a bit more money over time by completing some conditions

took a sec to understand, but once i got it i realized how clever it is! very clearly balatro inspired, and you really nailed the sounds and look of it all to give similar feelings! would love to see the concept expanded on :D

Really unique game! At first I didn't understand it but after a while, I was hooked. I would recommend trying to make it clearer what's going on, also the UI is quite small and the clock can blend into the background.

I had to come back and stop myself from playing to rate this. Really well done game! I agree with the other comment that this should have its own visual style, it's a unique take and really did well with the Jam's theme. I like the juice you put in the game too, the sounds and the card animations are well done.

I didn't fully understand it at the beginning but when i got it... man, i think that i'm going to replay this a little bit too much, great job

The UI elements are a little small for seeing them, especially if not fullscreened but even then it is a little small. Other than that, I really love this game, and it really had me invested. I might stop back after rating some other games just to play more of this. I think the art direction could maybe make itself stand out from balatro a little more however, just because it feels like this game should try to have its own visual identity.

the card are maybe a little small but beside that very cool game with cool screen effects and feedback
