Really fun game! I liked the silly concept of playing as a tanuki destroying the pachinko balls, it’s creative and very charming. The gacha upgrade machine was a nice touch and added a lot to the gameplay. Great work overall!
Very fun game! The music worked really well with the visuals and the gameplay was super solid. I hope to see a full version!
i actually enjoyed and played pretty long for this. Great job, I loved how polished you design the arcades, especially gacha machine!!
A few comments:
1. I'm using lappy mostly so sometimes I do not notice some mouse requirement, spent first 5 mins mashing keyboard. Simple tutorial would be helpful
2. I wish there are more mechanics, making me enjoying the randomness and gachaness of my raccoon ball! The ball can also be coloured, so I can try hitting it.
Really fun game! It is really satisfying, and kinda cute too!
I played it through to the end it didnt get old for a second. The in world models and ui is really awesome and i just find the shop really cool in particular. Really see the vision here. Thats why i have a few small nitpicks and things that id add: the camera transitions are a bit too slow imo and the linear easing isnt super pleasant for slow movements (i think emulating the movement of persona 5 menus would go so hard for this game), i wish there was a bit of an indicator when youre charging the dash, doesnt have to be a bar, just a vignette and maybe some effects would be cool (the sound does offer some of that) and maybe some more juice and sound effects all around. Balance wise I dont think you made the game too hard, its very doable after a few upgrades. Kind of got cut off short actually, so maybe making it a bit longer and adding a difficulty curve would help there. Again im just nitpicking, Baller game overall
That is so coool!!!! Really cute game with a fun story/ context of the character's actions! I liked bursting the marbles, but I keep wondering... if you break them all, does that trigger the end of the game? I really wanted to see it, but I don't think I was good enough 😂
You do! I made it much too difficult though :(
Even I wasn't able to do it until a day or so after release for the jam. I can tone it down after the jam or perhaps film a little playthrough.
Thank you for the kind words about the game!
I was a lil confused at the start but once I grasped the controls it was super fun!! Music was so good too!
very solid little game that was easy to jump into, i quite enjoy pachinko and you did well with the genre :D
It was a little tricky to understand the controls at first, but I had a lot of fun with this one once I did!
This was a really fun and addictive game once I got the hang of it. The idea of controlling the little animal inside the pachinko machine was super creative, and the upgrade loop kept making me want to try one more run. The 3D cutscenes and arcade machine presentation were also really impressive for a jam game.
My main feedback is that the controls and goal could be explained a little clearer at the start. It took me a bit to understand the dash, upgrades, and what I was supposed to focus on. Some stronger visual feedback when dashing, hitting balls, or getting points would also make the game feel way more satisfying. Overall though, this is a really cool concept with a lot of potential and a great arcade vibe.
This game was great! I was pretty confused on the controls at first but I eventually got the hang of it and was able to beat it. Also getting 3d cutscenes in for a game jam is absolutely incredible, good work!
It's really interesting that you can control the ball inside the machine. I think the UI could be improved, and adding more abilities would make it even better. Other than that, it's a really great idea! :D
Very creative take on the spin to win theme,
once i figured out the controls, in was fun ;)
This is great i actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Great concept and its weirdly satisfying. Encountered some issues when loading the first time.
I really enjoy the visuals of this game, really feels like a part of a phenomenal full game with more arcade activities
Yeah I totally get that feeling! I was initially were going to design it as being a little ball in a roulette wheel (which would match the theme more) but found that tricky so we switched over to pachinko. I wanted to put roulette in if we could figure it out in time but it ended up being down to the wire at the end.
In fact I think other arcade games would make this much more enjoyable, the verticality of pachinko can cause you to need to swing the camera around a lot so a game like pinball might be less disorienting.
Also thank you for your kind words, we appreciate it!
Incredibly addictive, just like real gambling. I'd almost put it down then have one good run and think "Maybe one more upgrade will get me the win". It's also nice that you need all the upgrades to win instead of one or two to rule them all like most game jam roguelikes. Of course this isn't technically a roguelike, but you get the idea.
Very fun game, creative use of the concept. The slow-mo feature is really good and feels the most intuitive with giving the player more control. Would love to see other machines in the game too, very impressive and fun mechanics. Nice work :)
Had a great time! Not only did we both have lil animals in balls, but I was SO close to also making a pachinko game too haha. I decided it didn't work well with my spinning mechanic after I modeled it, though lol. Your art style is great, and dashing mid-air was very satisfying. Choosing your upgrades was also enjoyable. Very fun times. Great work! :)
Oh my I am quite glad we both didn't do pachinko! Thank you for playing our game! You lil guy is very adorable too, and thanks for the compliment on the art!
Quite enjoyable once I got the hang of dashing! Chill vibes. Great job!
