Can I please give you like 6 stars for the visuals?? And what do you mean there are animations??
Visual and sound wise this is an AMAZING game. Unfortunately, as someone else also pointed out, I had trouble with the controls: I didn't even make it farther then the second input. space and up came together as wanted input, but I always died, no matter whether I pressed space or up first or both of them together. Is there a bug or did I do something wrong? I would really like to continue playing, the idea and visuals have been great so far

It’s definitely a bug, it seems some computers aren’t liking how unity is keeping track of time ;-; and making the inputs appear at once instead of their normal separations. Because of the deadline I didn’t account for multiple on screen at once so both will read your input 💔 I’ve had someone able to fix this after restarting their computer so maybe that’ll help?

LOVED THE ART. I did have some issues playing. I felt like I would consistely press inputs before the visual cue said time was up but I would still lose so I didn't get very far.

WOW! I love tom and jerry a lot so this was really awesome, I really appreciated cinema mode because I'm not horribly good at this kind of game but I really wanted to see the whole thing

Game didn't work for me. It helps, it just freezes on a white background when It's done loading. I'll give you props and say I like the art style and concept. I was looking forward to playing it.

A Tom and Jerry-esque homage to Dragon's Lair? Genius.

I really appreciated the the cinema mode because I could not react quickly enough to those QTEs. I wanted to keep trying, but also didn't want to wait for the long reset every time. A quicker turnaround between retries would be really nice I think. But, yeah beautiful animation and character choreography. Stellar job.

The animation is really good and i love the music!
But I think there's a bug with the QTE: when you have to press Spacebar and UP at the same time, it only registers one, counts the other as a mistake, and restarts the sequence. Do both have to be pressed simultaneously, or am I doing it wrong?

Hmmm thats definitely not as intended. The QTEs were written to be spaced out and not spawn together to avoid this. Not fully certain what could be causing them to spawn so early as those QTEs also shouldn't spawn for at least 2-3 more seconds. Perhaps trying to play in a different browser or device could fix this?

I tried it on Chrome, Firefox, and the downloadable version, and it's the same; I don't have another device to test it on besides my phone😓

the animation is awesome! nice work!

This animation is really impressive especially considering we only had 7 days! The quick time events were hard so I watched it in cinematic mode.

died so many times lol had to do cinema mode ;-;
the animation and music was so good amazing! you did so good :)

The artwork here is just incredible!

Good work on the funny story, fitting music, and theme incorporation!

this is awesome, the animation is amazing, the only problem is it kept lading for ages (i even tried the downland) so i didn't play and just watched it, the animation is top tier

My brain just can't do quick time events, I got around half-way before I had to do cinema mode. (But that's just a me thing I think) I still very much enjoyed this game and it's art :)

The animation was incredible; Ham at the end was so cute holy crap. The quicktime events were a little hard though (I am so bad at rhythm games....) and I enjoyed it more in cinema mode (peak though)

AMAZING ART AND ANIMATIONS!!!

great animations mate...how did u do that in 7 days??..anyways i played in the web and the inputs were working fine for me

Submitted

Whoah, incredible work! It’s a really cute animation. Very rare to see that in a jam, especially this lenthly!

I’m also glad that you implemented cinema mode. On the web version, the inputs for the QTE weren’t recognized for me (and being on Linux, I couldn’t run the Windows build). So I’m happy I was able to enjoy the animation.^^

I really liked the animation, and the song, they were top notch, but idk if my game was bugged, or if im just really dumb, but i coundnt pass the Space and Up section, the second quick time, right after the first.
I tried every combination i could thing, one at a time, both at the same time, holding one then pressing the other, all on both combinations, and i still couldnt get past that.
So based on that, for now, i will not rate this game, i will wait for a bugfix or another day for when im not sleep deprived and maybe can understand this better.

Hello! Glad you liked it! Was this an issue on stairs or in the kitchen? I can do some investigating today.

The issue was in the stairs
