Worlds Collide
Tugtris combines Tetris-style grid-matching and row-clearing with real-time physics-based navigation, requiring players to steer a nimble tugboat to push, rotate, and align drifting cargo ships into perfect rows within the docking bays.

Fun game, and I love the local shoutout! It’s a novel idea and well-executed.

I did find a couple issues with playability:

  1. Every once in a while my boat inputs would get super messed up, and I would be unable to turn properly or stop moving forward. Then I got stuck moving toward the edges and it snowballs into losing the run. Could have been something local but my guess is it had to do with processing multiple inputs simultaneously, maybe I was pressing too many buttons at once.
  2. Sometimes it feels like you get screwed by RNG (multiple long boats that are adjacent but their ends touch from spawn so you can’t get between or swap their relative positions.

But those are minor grievances; overall it’s a very smooth experience. Nice work!

I love the art and finish is top notch. I would love a video, I feel like I'm missing something. I did not get far. Javascript is misspelled (above).

Think of it like Tetris. push the boats into the right shipping lanes. Once a line is filled horizontally, it'll 'unload', just like completing a line in Tetris.

What throws me off is when I turn the tug left or right. My instinct is to press Up to go forward. Instead I need to keep pressing Left to push left. Then if I'm in the wrong place, the boat starts to canter. Then I panic and I can't fix it and it's frustrating for me.  It's not long before the river is jammed.

I love the UI, and the character development with the different wakes is creative and beautiful.

This is really clever. I love the theme, and the clever use of gameplay here.

Super solid game! I wish i could push the boats down the water with the tug boat. It would be super fun with a longer runway for difficulty scaling. This was a ton of fun though!
