I like that dizziness is tied to gameplay. Second game this jam I see to use this as a mechanic - which I think is a pretty good idea (I got quite dizzy playing a lot of games lol).
The controls got me a bit and took getting used to. I think having some on screen display (e.g., arrows) showing which direction my key pressed would take me to would be nice. Though I did play with keyboard so maybe that made it a lot harder >.>
Ahh the classic drunken wombat mechanic. Very effective.
I should've taken the advice to use a controller then I certainly would platinum every course, it's 100% guaranteed, surely my only problem.
Oh man the swapped around controls got me hard haha. Very interesting concept. The give and take present with the dizzy system and the course timer is really clever. Visuals are coherent, Audio is ok. Racing as a dizzy wombat is VERY SERIOUS. Good Job!
For sure the most serious game I have tried yet. What a brilliant 'spin' on the theme. Love the two-layered racing mechanic. And having a scoreboard of previous times made for some fun replayability.
Would love some more decorations like hay bales or fences for the walls.
The beaver is so cute I felt so bad spinning the poor thing T_T the concept is very fun ! Very clever to punish your times if you simply don't spin (I thought I was being smart, dang). The time-trial aspect is what makes the game so good, I really wanted to get better times so I would spin the beaver more and panic trying to understand which key did what now lol it was only slightly frustrating. Great work, had lots of fun :D
hehe, love the tiers of dizzyness, cool game :)
(HELP!)
Hello! I ran through your game a few times and I have some feedback!
- It was not super clear to me that the timer is seconds : milliseconds : microseconds (I assume), A couple times when I didn't spin much and got over a second I was like "there's no way that was a minute, is the timer broken", but I eventually figured it out.
- Really cool concept having to balance the timer and your control level!
- Course 2 seems harder than course 3 to me, from a standpoint of what qualifies as platinum/gold/silver/bronze. Could just be me!
- I played all the courses several times and I did not realize the blue texture on level 3 is ice that makes you slide until going back for testing while writing this comment. I thought it was just the control level from spinning.
- From a graphical standpoint the level of detail in the spritework seems a bit inconsistent. Geordie and the dirt texture both look fantastic! The grass texture looks really simple in comparison. Makes the game look a bit inconsistent, imo. Probably just a time crunch thing though, I know I ran out of time to finish all the animations in my game.
- I appreciate the controller support!
Overall really cool idea! I hope this feedback doesn't come off as rude, I'm trying to be constructive!
These are my high scores:

Have a wonderful day and good luck in the Game Jam!
Not rude at all! The feedback is greatly appreciated - to address a couple of your points:
- The timer is in fact in minutes:seconds.milliseconds - time actually moves faster for lower spin counts in the spin minigame. A common theme I've seen in a few comments is that the relationship between spins and the time tick rate coul have been clearer.
- Interesting point I hadn't considered on the ice. Probably could have been addressed if we started the player off of the ice and then had them step onto it - likely would have made the difference easier to notice.
The only downside is that on keyboard, it's very difficult to make the beaver spin.
Nonetheless it was a really fun game, with nice mechanics.
Making the timer go faster but at a movement penalty is pretty neat! It's hard to tell how things exactly change with the timer and how filled the bar is though
Very fun and enjoyable game but spinning on keyboard is a bit hard. Maybe using the mouse to spin would've been better.
