Super gorgeous game! I truly don't even know what else to say, well done!
Really neat shader and highlight effects going on in this one. Very polished visuals. As some other commenters have said, I also found it to be a bit complicated, but I started to get the hang of things after a few runs. Super impressive for a game jam project! I’d love to see this filled out a bit with a guided first level tutorial and some story to give us some more context
Oh my gosh this is absolutely gorgeous! And fun to boot! Fantastic work!
Wow, this looks really impressive. And the music fits the mood perfectly.
As for improvements: the only thing I was missing was a bit of guidance at the beginning. What am I supposed to do, and why? Maybe you could add some kind of scripted tutorial at the start, where the same thing is always thrown and the player is told what to do.
Other than that, really beautifully made, a real work of art.
Seems like I did pretty good :)
How does a human comprehend all these modifiers? Perhaps I shouldn't delve too deep, haha.
This is so incredibly cohesive for a jam project! Super frikin impressive work - you absolutely knocked it out of the park! 5/5
Solid game! I liked the visuals a lot!
Its really hard to understand and for me even after 10 minutes i couldnt completely gety it a tutorial or a comment would be very help ful. the art is SO COOL
Very cool art style and very polished! But it is a little bit hard to understand, consider adding s tutorial
🥲 I know, on boarding needs real work.
Thanks for sticking with it. I really appreciate the effort and kind words and also the critical feedback.
UPDATE: Found a bug as I was going on a generational run. The background sort of disappeared when I reached segment 25. Not sure if its easily reproducible but do try. Also at a certain point after I have "deepened" all relevant runes, I sort of feel unstoppable (If I can pay attention). The chances or thread length should ramp up in difficulty ass more segments are being tied which you may already be doing but maybe not aggressively enough.
You are totally right, i have two systems fightig each other. One makes sure each strand is possible the other is supposed to scale the odds.
I the scaler fails, it doesn't account for the deepening. I knew this when I launched but I figured it would only bother people who already enjoyed the experience enough.
I really should have added an end cap to the game I did not anticipate so any people would actually be grinding to the post game 😂
Thank you so much for breaking my game ❤️
Im really impressed by the design, one of the most polished artwork on the gamejams at all. 5/5
I could spin this all day! I will be honest, I'm not fully sure I've understood the goal of the game (like I was not sure if it has ended at some point and I was playing another round or was still in the same 🫣), but it was feelgood enough, finding the cool combos to keep me playing. Very nice art and the sound was also quite fitting.
at first I was like "huh?" cause of how confusing it was and thought it was gonna be a flop. Then I kept playing and realized how genius it was, while I think it could've been more intuitive and explained in a better way, it was still well made and nothing felt like it was out of place/useless when it came to the gameplay. 9.5/10 (Who made the art tho!)
Thanks for the feedback, I really need to work on my onboarding and tutorial. I also did the Character portraits.
Your art style is something else I gotta say, truly incredible. I definitely need to work on my skills in general too, but I think getting people to understand the actual game might be my biggest weakness at the moment so I get it. Good luck with your next project!
Loving the aesthetics and the music fits it so well!! I was super into it and played it for awhile it was very addicting I can see myself coming back to playing it! Good job.
such a polished game and i love the art style!!
Awesome entry and well polished, i like it! It's a bit confusing first, but you'll get it!
Incredible!!! super polished, awesome art, perfect sound design. Maybe mechanics could be introduced a bit more clearly and gradually, but otherwise this is the perfect jam game
