fun little game! really unfortunate that you ran out of time. by the way, if you end up remaking the game, i suggest you round the displayed health (assuming you don't do a health bar) instead of just printing it directly, as it can get really funky sometimes, and add some audio. otherwise, good job!

Thanks for the advice/kind words! People have mentioned a lot of these bugs (many of which I knew but couldnt fix in time) and I will make sure to fix these in the future if I ever make another version of this thats more balanced, complete and less buggy

I really wanted to make ambiance, music and sound effects but was really low on time already due to my friend leaving the original project we were working on, and the musician/sound designer in me just wouldn't have been happy with poorly made audio so I scrapped it all together in favor of bug fixes as the game was not functional until the day of lmao. genuinely a dumpster fire of scripts

Love the art! Would love to see this with more polish, I hope you continue upgrading it!

Thank you! I may remake the game in the future with less spaghetti code

Very cool idea but needs polishing. Also I was only Attacking didn't need (or understand) to Defend. Very nice art style though! It has potential to be some kind of horror - turn based game in the future. Good luck!

I agree lol. I wanted to add a special attack but you know how "Add 1 thing everything breaks" goes lol

Yeah, those things are frustrating. Especially when you have a week to make EVERYTHING work XD

EXACTLYYYYYY. I didn't want to be the one to say it cause some people made wayyyyyy better games in that time but trying to learn how to do new things on the spot is crazy lol. I just wish godots docs actually gave more information on syntax without spreadsheets(I have the vision of a goldfish and fail to see the thing im looking for lol)

Had the same problems haha. But, the more you code the faster you are and you will learn when to use particular nodes and code structures. That's the cool thing about spending a lot of time learning haha.

Good stuff! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the combat system felt like something you could easily expand into something more intricate with a longer time-frame! Might be helpful to have more clarity as to what each section of the wheel does, but overall good job!

Thank you!! I really wanted to put symbols in the sections but didn't have time. I also wanted things like enemy/player screenshake and damage pop up numbers instead of in a chat box but tbh this game was spaghetti coded enough lol. I promise I can make a cleaner game on less of a time limit lol
