This game is extremely cute. I really like trial and error to figure out what every hamster does. I do wish that there was a way to re-roll the hamsters you can buy, maybe for some money. Since near when I would die I would have more money than I can spend.

The game is super cute! I love all the different hamsters. So far I haven't found that many combinations though, except for cult and CEO, I don't seem to find much improvement for each hamster.  Possible I'm just not understanding it though xD

But you've done a great job with this game, I had a lot of fun playing it.

This project really has great potential! I love all the care that’s gone into creating the different hamsters – they’re all absolutely lovely! The only thing is, I haven’t quite managed to work out how to maximise the energy you gain from the placement of the hamsters. Well done again on this project!

this is so cute! i really love the idea and i think a sim like this is a great project for a jam in terms of scope. it might have been a bug, but i didn't notice any audio. i also am not sure what the different abilities or hamster types do beyond having different speeds. i think some direction in terms of what to do with the hamsters would be helpful. also if there's more interactivity in terms of placement (or perhaps more clear interactivity if that exists and i just missed it). i thought this was great though!

This was really cute. I didn't really understand how the mixing and matching mechanism worked. Im super excited to see the post jam version and how you evolve the game from here!

This was such a cute game, and a really cool idea with the game theme!! Seeing them spin away in their wheels was fun, and I really liked their animations and personalities as well!!! I understand it was likely due to time constraints, but with some music and sound effects, I can see this becomming really addictive and fun in a future version!!

I'm not sure whether I was doing it incorrectly, but I could not see the abilities each of the hamsters had? Not a major issue tho, since they had plenty of personality and I kinda could infer what they did from that hahahah (the green guy running like crazy was a fun idea heheh).

All in all, I had a nice time putting the little guys in wheels! :b

I absolutely LOVED the visuals!! all the littles hamsters characters were incredibly charming. It was so satisfying and rewarding to slowly figure out how to make them more productive it made the gameplay super fun!
My only wish is that there were even more hamster names (T_T)

Thank you so much for making this game!! Please, PLEASE finish it... I need the full version RN!!

Heyy! Thanks for the energy! I actually can't wait to publish the post-jam versions where we already fixed a lot of the things that bug people! Splendid illustration on your game as well! Good luck and thank you for your review!

Oh my gosh we made a hamster game too! A lot of things in common! Love the art style! Keep making games!

Fun little game! I enjoyed looking at all the different kinds of hamsters, though I did have  trouble seeing what each hamsters did. The description said I could hover over the ability and see a description, though this didn't happen for me.  Great game though! Keep it up!

I think the most enjoyable part of the game was unlocking the different hamsters along the way! I do wish I knew what the hamsters were working for though, like what are they trying to power up? For some more engagement though, I this would really benefit from having some game juice whether that be some SFX or some more visual indicators between actions. Nice work!

instructions unclear but the layout of the wheels and overall art is eye catching and inviting to interact with. there's something fun about the hamster games in this jam, what's going on with that

Is there any way i can know what the synergy like cultist actually do ? i might be blind but i couldn't tell. Still had fun and manage to fill every wheel with those little guys.

Developer

Hey! UI programmer here - unfortunately we didn't have time to make a proper visible description box, but hovering the little "⭐ [TRAIT]" lines on the hamster info card does actually reveal that trait's description 😅

There can't be a jam without some jank - we're aware of the problems with the UI, many of them are already fixed ready for post-jam update.

i think the instruction of playing that game is unclear

Poor little hamsters!  JK, they had fun, I could tell.

Genuinely thought the spacebar cheats were part of the game until like 5 minutes in! After that I had a lotta fun with this game!!!

Cute game, the synergy indicator were pretty small and could not make up what each keyword did. otherwise clever use of the spinning theme!

Really neat sprites, but I died and have no clue where I even had some kind of health bar so I don't understand the game, but Hamsters :D
