Short and sweet! What a fun little game, and I love the visuals!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We're happy you loved it :D

Fun idea^^

Good theme interpretation, that u actually, physically have to spin to win ;)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We’re happy you enjoyed it ^^

Pretty solid game! The gameplay felt smooth and easy to understand. The art style looked pretty good and the concept of exercising rats using a wheel fits the theme well and is a really fun idea. The animations were also clean and looked pretty good. I do think you should add a way for players without a mouse to play, such as using the arrow keys. Also, the game is pretty short currently, so I recommend more levels or maybe an endless mode.

Thank you for playing and the feedback!

Regarding the arrow keys we were thinking on adding another option for playing but since in the descriptions it said that mouse is there we figured everyone would be able to play, we also tested with trackpad and it worked. Endless mode would be awesome 😁

Great idea and executed very well! I had to play on a trackpad which wasn't as accurate as I'd like, and I had some trouble telling when I was failing vs winning but otherwise really fun idea and I liked the Akira main screen lol. Great work, 5/5.

Developer

Thank you so much for mentioning the Akira reference! We were worried no one noticed :D

Really liked the visual. just wanted the game to be a bit longer and add some new features along the way. Great submission.

Developer

Thank you for playing and the feedback! We tried to keep a low scope to make the game in time :D

Fun game! It has a really interesting main mechanic, great use of the theme. Also I liked the visual art, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and the feedback. It's great to hear you had fun :)

Ths is so cool! Only problem is that it is too short and maybe add some idle animation to the rats, but since this is a game jam the game is so good!

Developer

Yes, that would be cool actually. We wanted be as efficient as possible with the sprites. Thank you for playing and your comments!

Nice game, I like the art. It was simple to understand the mechanics. Like others have said, adding more levels too it would be nice. Other than that good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedbacks. Yes, lots of people commented it was a bit too short probably because it's true :)

Very short and sweet, enjoyable while it lasts, but would’ve like it to be longer, a few more levels or something.

Nice entry!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and the feedback. Chance of something to be boring gets higher as it lasts longer. I guess we didn't want to risk it :D

Really fun use of the mouse wheel! The art was great and I especially liked the running animations. On my first run I absolutely killed everyone on accident though lol.

Developer

HaHa! Glad you had fun and liked the game! ^-^

I love the art (apart from some issues like the bottom UI looking pretty odd and out of place) and especially the sounds! The game deserves way more features and longer gameplay, because the whole idea and the mouse wheel controls are very cool! I'd definitely keep working on it after the jam if I were you, it could be a very fun and more definitive game if you added an endless mode, maybe some obstacles, upgrades, overall variety and things that make you change the play style a bit to progress. Great job!

Developer

Thank you very much for playing and giving feedback! I'm happy you liked the game ^-^

This is a fun game!!! I didn't expect it to be this kind of game at all!

You should try to make the web screen more beautiful, making a good first impression is one of the most important things in game development!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and giving feedback! I agree the web screen might have been a bit neglected among other development tasks :)

wow the art is incredible! i would loveee to see more content from you in the future!

Thank youuu! I'm happy you liked the game ^-^

Hey, sorry for the late feedback, Itch has just not letting me comment, I have however already rated your game earlier, I came here to provide feedback as promised.

I had a good time with your game. I found the application of the theme to be very unique and the art style was amazing.

Some things that I found could have been improved:

- The main mechanic of spinning the mouse wheel felt nice but it was a bit unfair at times.

- The difficulty of each mouse seemed random rather than incremental.

- Definitely would have liked one more level with some variation in gameplay.

Overall, solid entry!

Developer

thanks so much for the detailed feedback! this is super helpful - it really helps us see the strengths and flaws of the gameplay in a way that would have been impossible without outside perspectives. we’re really glad you took the time to check it out!

Submitted(+2)

quite short but very creative in using the mouse wheel as the primary control! honestly wondering why more games haven't done that, since it really adds to the feeling of spinning... nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and your comments :) I actually discovered some other games included the mouse wheel as a control. They all interpreted it a little bit differently tho and this is the beaty of jams

Submitted(+2)

Love the cover art, and the scroll wheel mechanic is really satisfying.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm glad the cover art caught your eye ^-^

Fun game! VERY creative.... in a good way. First time I've played a game that engages with the scroll wheel. Great job!

Developer

really? that’s so funny, because it came to us quite naturally with the jam theme and actually, thanks to Juniper's 'keyboard and mouse' restrictions ;) thank you for your feedback!

Submitted(+2)

Short and sweet. I really like the art very cute

Developer

Thank youuu ^^

Submitted(+2)

That was a very fund and short game! I loved the interpretation of the theme with both the cogs/wheels spinning, and the actual scroll wheel, I don't think I've seen a game that uses that as a mechanic. I also loved the art style. Great work!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We're glad you enjoyed it ^^
