Hello! I've played several runs of your game and reached the 'You Win!' screen once. I have some feedback! Some of it mirrors what others have said, but I write down my thoughts before I read other comments.
- The title card and you won/lost screens are really cute! Love those.
- I like the "spooky" music as well!
- I didn't know about holding down space as others have pointed out, but yes, being able to cast spells while stirring seems overpowered. Possibly just make it so you have to exit the stirring screen to cast, or maybe give the witch a healthbar so if she just stands there you'll lose from that?
- When I reached the "You Won" screen hitting continue took me to the "You Lost" screen just with a number on the top. I assume that's my high score? (It was 940, btw) Possibly that was due to a time constraint or maybe just a bug, but yeah, telling someone they lost right after telling them they won is a bit confusing.
- I never saw a use for the dash. Maybe if the witch had to avoid something it would be useful?
- Would be nice to have some kind of music or sound effect on the Win/Lose screen (maybe I just missed it?), probably due to time constraints as well.
- I really like the use of the theme! Stirring the pot frantically while enemies are closing in is a fun idea!
- Does the fire spell deal more damage than lightning? Like, the bomb is good to clear crowds but it's slow, while the lightning is faster and hits in three directions. The fire spell seemed like it was the same speed as lightning but didn't have any spread, so I don't know why you would use it.
- With a bit of testing it seems that yes, fire deals more damage. But it seemed like it only took 1 more hit to kill something with the lightning & you would be dealing with other enemies as well, so it still seems like a better choice, imo.
I hope this feedback comes off as constructive rather than negative! I'm trying to help the game improve! Overall I thought this was a very cute game and a fun take on the theme!
