I liked the game! It had a good idea, the gameplay was pretty fun. Though sometimes I must say it felt kind of unresponsive, or maybe just kind sluggish in a way. And for a game like this I kind of would expect it to scale in difficulty the longer you survive, because once you get the hang of it you can kind of just go infinitely and it doesn't really get harder. Either way great game I liked it!

Developer

Huh ok thats top feedback. It does in fact get harder as time passes, maybe it doesnt scale enough. Well take that into consideration!

Artwork is absolutely superb. So much character in every item and critter. Only minigame I would change is maybe the electrical wires. I couldn't get it to work for the longest then re-read your instructions and saw that you need to grab the cutters from the tool box, then go to it. It's the only minigame that requires you to do an action before. I think it would be more intuitive to just have it work by clicking the box. Or, if you expanded upon the game, then other objectives should be multi-step as well. That way the player knows some tasks require doing things beforehand. That's my only complaint, because this is super well done overall! Crazy to get so much done in a week!

Thanks a lot for playing our game Ray and for the feedback as well! We are working on adding all the feedback to the game and will be updating you all soon! Much love Ray!

I know everyone else has already said this, but the visuals are incredible. The gameplay is also really fun, and I loved the computer changing your perspective from only the control panel to the whole office.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words Jake! Much love!

The art is insanely good!! It was quite hard to keep up and got chaotic really quick, but that's part of the fun! Smacking the rat is real satisfying!

Thank You for your comment! We are so happy you enjoyed the game. As the game’s 2d artist I am so very pleased you liked the art! It was a fun challenge for sure.

Visually stunning, was fun to play, didnt really get the red screen even after reading the instructions, i was always flashing anyway, probably my fault tho! Good gameplay and as i said i loved the visuals, keep it up!

Nice game, I really like the art in the game. It has so much detail for such a short amount of time to make it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We really tried to give it our all for both the digital+pixel art combo and we are really happy it has been well received!

Your visuals, sound effects, and gameplay gave me the nostalgia of Wario World mini games. From your co-worker constantly on the verge of throwing up, or the bonk sound when you hit the rat messing with your tools. This was a really enjoyable serious game! Your team did a fantastic job of merging goofiness with a serious nuclear meltdown.

Does it get to a point where its impossible to keep the powerplant from melting down?

Developer(+1)

Yooo! Thanks a lot for the comment! It was pin point! It's based on Wario World and Dumb Ways to Die. Now, regarding your question, let me go nerd mode:

We didn't have enough time but we wanted to change more stuff with the increasing Difficulty value but at the end we could only use it to affect spawnrate. It's a logarithmic function with diminishing returns, 66% as expected by minute 1, 100% by minute 2 and 133% by minute 3, 500% by 1h.

Now, the core's heat goes from 20% to 80% and stalls there by minute 2. That means 1 valve should be enough HOWEVER, every minigame you fail increases 3% the core's heat, making it so past 7 misses and 2 mins, 1 valve won't cut it and you'll be forced to handle both.

Technically, as the spawnrate becomes infinitely shorter, that makes it physically impossible to fix every minigame. Making it so core heat passes 200% with a total of 40 misses and 2 minutes, past that point you are gone for as 2 valves sum up to 200% coolant. Tho you'll probably die before that, as minigames take time to handle and valves lose speed independently.

very challenging but after getting used to everything was able to last for quite a bit! love how hectic everything is, and the artstyle is fantastic, very well done :D

Developer

Glad you liked it! How far did you go? What was your high score? I myself was not able to get too far, it appears making a game does not make you good at it by default.

Not sure to have understand everything that was happening but it was a cool experience and the art+audio are amazing.

Maybe try to find a way to make it more userfriendly (but avoid tutorials)

Developer(+2)

Thank you for playing the game Volko. We are working on it! Much love!

A really fun game! It's quite chaotic, but I really love that style of game. The art style is fantastic and I love some of the little moments like smacking the rat with the hammer -  made me laugh. The only problem I had was with the screen. I couldn't tell what needed to be done sometimes. I had a ton of fun though, great job!

Submitted(+3)

The art is so cool, and I really like your capsule art!

I enjoyed the chaos of it all but I did not understand the walking around mini game at all - I couldn't understand what I needed to do and the screen kept going black to tell me another minigame popped up on the dashboard while I still tried to figure out the one I was in - it felt a bit too rushed before I could get the hang of everything :').

Regardless, this was a very nicely polished game and I should have maybe spent more time on it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your comment Sunny. It is meant to be chaotic and we are working on the tutorial to help everybody understand the game better. Thank you for playing the game and we will keep you updated when we have the tutorial up and running. Much love!

Submitted(+3)

The art and feel of this game are top notch! I liked all the mechanics too, but I had a hard time figuring out most of them. Once I did though, the game clicked. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks you for the comment Ore. We are glad you loved the game once it clicked. We are working on the tutorial part for the future game, we did not have chance to put it for the jam. Much love!

Submitted(+1)

awesome game! the art was super cool and really charming and polished. i also thought the audio was pretty good overall, although the music was a bit repetitive. it might've been cool if it got faster or changed pitch the closer you got to meltdown. it was a bit tough to understand at first, a tutorial would've been nice, but once you got used to it it was pretty fun! overall great job, super polished!

Developer

Thank you Smore! 100% agreed with the tutorial part. We are working on it for the next iterations. We will keep the community informed once we have it up and running. Thank you for taking time out of your day to play our game.

Love the art and the tone, fun to play and a great concept. I would have loved a highlight on the interactable items as it took me a bit to figure out what I could and couldn't click on. Overall amazing!

Developer

Thank you for playing our game and the kind words. For sure that is something that we will be working for the game in future versions.
