Very fun
Wow! Really creative game!
Plus very well executed! Had a blast playing this!!
This was really cool! I mostly liked how the instruments would add to the soundtrack that was playing as the turntable spun. That gave the game a really unique feel. The position bonuses helped as well. And the way that each level theme corresponded to the enemies was really cool.
Other than that, this was just a pretty solid tower-defense style game. After I lost, I didn't feel a huge drive to go back. Each round took a while, and there was little to actively do during the combat rounds. If I could play as a little dude and actively take part in the defense in some way, that would help things a lot for me personally... could just be that I'm not all that into tower defense.
Very serious tower defence... very serious
A tower defense centered around a music disk? That was definitely not on my bingo, congrats on creating an original and fun idea!
Keep up the good work!
Super fun! This was actually quite similar to one of my initial ideas for the jam. I'm glad to see someone else made it happen!
A couple notes. The system for placing and moving instruments around was a little clunky. I would guess that you just had to make something work in the limited time frame, and that's totally understandable. It also felt annoying that you could never get the bongos to have a high enough range to buff instruments on beats if the bongo was also on a beat.
Had a great time overall!
My favourite game so far!!!!
It was satisfying to hear the song when you had the instruments on beat.
I've seen no other game combine tower defence and roguelike elements as well as you did here.
Of course it's just picking towers but still it feels fun.
The beat effect idea is really unique! It was quite difficult. I did a few attempts and died on wave 12. I enjoyed not steamrolling my first attempt without doing any thinking.
Of course there's things that could be theoretically better like seeing the damage numbers of each tower or having more upgrade options.
There's a lot of possibilities where this game could go further. Like how would different maps work? Could be that you add more areas you place towers on like a sequencer for instance?
I dropped you a follow incase you continue developing this 😁
I was not expecting a tower defense! This is really cool :D
An interesting spin on tower defence. I see abit of effort put. Did get abit repetitive after a few levels, but nonetheless a good game
Oh how the turn tables.... What a great concept and execution! I really love the art, and I thought the difficulty scaling felt well paced. I would love to see how other beats could play into this - both to spice up the music you get to hear as well as how it could change speed/pacing.
Great game!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME SO FAR!!
I played it yesterday... and then I came back and played it again today haha
I absolutely love the whole concept, the gameplay feels great, and the sound design is good too, It honestly feels like a complete game
Please, please make a full version!! I need it (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I love this concept and enjoyed the game. One little bug I had is when I bought piano and then the placing spot, I couldn't move it XD. But other that I loved this little game
Fun little tower defense game! There isn't really much to critique here, except that while the round was going I found it a little difficult to click on a particular tower to pull up its upgrade screen. I really like the beat mechanic, and how it combines with the bongos to give placement a lot more strategic depth than you'd expect. Also, as a cello player, I was really glad to see that the cello was included in the roster of instruments you could use. I was doing pretty good, until I reached wave 11 and just got instantly steamrolled hahaha. Great job!
Nice game!
The gameplay loop is quite chill with the getting of new instruments and being able to upgrade them, though I would wish something more was done with the sfx, maybe trying to tie together those sounds into a simple beat of some sort, but otherwise fun game :)
I had a great time playing this game! The art style is fantastic, and the gameplay loop kept me engaged.
