I love this game
Very addicting game! I had to stop myself from playing cos I wanted to keep going and going. Its so fun and the mechanics are very reminiscent to Balatro and I feel like you nailed the formula, which is awesome! I love the cats and the puns as well and the visuals and audio was really good! Though there are some hiccups with the game like the number showing 100 on the money but it turns out being my max money which I assume is a bug. Other than that, a really great game with personality! Great work!
Thanks so much for the kind words and playing! The bug you're talking about was an intended mechanic at first, because the max button is on click set to the toggled texture, so I thought it would be apparent, that it is indeed pressed and toggled on. However after many (like a lot) people complained about it I now see it wasn't the best design decision :D. If we ever come back to this game, that will be the first thing I'm going to fix :) Thanks for the feedback and I hope you nonetheless enjoyed your time in the Catsino!
That's fair enough! Getting the right design decision is very tricky without playtesting especially in a game jam setting so its totally understandable!
Very good game, so addicting! Good job!
Love the shopkeeper dude, & very good roulette mechanics!
Um. So we may have played for an hour. We don't know what you guys did but this is truly so SO addicting. Our only gripes are minor quality of life things for really really late game runs that are definitely beyond the scope of a jam game. We would be super excited to see this game developed further if you wanted to.
A creative take on a classic game. I especially liked the boost mechanic, and the music will probably be in my head for the next day or two. I'd definitely give this a try if it got updates down the line after the jam. Well done!
Thanks a lot! Haha, yeah, all three of us got it stuck in our heads basically on day 3 of the jam, so we can definitely relate. I swear, I have no idea what addicting thing is in that songs, but it sticks and never leaves.
