nice ideas but somehow kept getting the same key for left and right and basically made me unable to move.
Very simple and clean idea with some funny lore behind it, really liked the music myself. The UI size was a bit small for me tho as the full screen didn't properly expand
Haha, brain damaged robot is a genuinely funny idea. I like your character model, very charming. I would have bound RAM upgrades to a changing key as well, and spinning the spinner to jump or something, so the player didn't have to ever take their fingers off the keyboard. I got hardlocked when both my forward and backwards movement keys got set to M. Fatal system error, I suppose. :)
Cool Idea, at first there were no binding and I can't adjust the volume at options but with bit more polish I think this can be great game!
Interesting concept, though most of the time I was locked in place because going left and right was binded to the same button.
Keep up the good work!
Good game overall! I like the idea of shifting keybinds randomly by spinnin the wheel, even though some combinations were atrocious , like having Jump on the Down Arrow, Right to V and Left to N, it confused me so much haha
I had fun though! I saw that you only started by day 3 and didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to the game, but you did a good job nonetheless!
There are obviously things missings because of it, like buttons not doing anything in the Escape menu, or the volume slider also not working, but overall it doesn't matter that much and I liked you entry.
The art was cool too!
That was a very fun and challenging game! I love the whole concept and the name also ties in pretty well. I can see this being a full fledged rage game. I also got pretty unlucky at the start having my jump be changed to my move backwards which made it difficult to platform but that added to the overall experience. Nice job!
Really good game idea. Couple of suggestions, using the mouse every time the wheel spins is a little redundant, since you need both hands on the keyboard. The new controls should always be present on the screen, maybe in the top right hand corner. It makes it easier for the player to figure out what key is needed instead of going to the menu. The audio was super loud and I couldn't turn it down. When I went into the settings the slider was there, but there was no button to go back to the game and pressing escape did nothing. A bug that I found: after the wheel has finished spinning, before clicking the mouse, you can press escape (for the menu) then press escape again and you can control the player with the set controls, without needing the wheel again. Overall, really unique game idea and it was fun to play. If you can, you should try to make it a html web version as more people would try it. Sometimes people don't like to download games.
Honestly totally agree with everything you've said there and I do wish i had gotten time to polish off the game and actually finish the menu. And yeah I realised after it was too late that i should have just had the controls always visible. The jam may be over but I'll definitely be finishing the game and adding these changes in the future.
Really difficult,Cool idea and great use of theme
Thanks :)
Very challenging game, for many times I felt like my brain was melting. Very good job!
Thank you :)
Great rage-bait title XD. The number of times I couldn't move because 'forward' and 'backward' were mapped to the same key had me cracking up. The spinner results don't seem to mesh with the displayed colors very well. Cute little title!
Yeah the wheel colours being wrong at times is a bug I had really hoped to get fixed but never got the time.
Such a good idea, I liked it a lot, and in half the time, it's great, you should totally polish the idea further after the jam! Fantastic entry!
Thanks so much. I'll definitely keep working on it then.
loved the idea but the execution seemed a little messy? sometimes it seemed like the wheel was just completely wrong, so i'd have the spent the entire time trying to figure out which key it was actually rebinded too but by the time i found it the controls would be shuffled again. the music is great tho!
I totally agree that it's messy in execution. I forgot about the jam until half way through and even then didn't dedicate much time to it. I may continue work on the game i the future after the jam. And yes i will admit the wheel sometimes gets its position wrong. no idea why.
I liked it, very creative the idea of randomizing the controls, it gets messy real quick, in a good way. The changes are a little too quick though, when you are understanding the new controls, they already changed again, I get that's the whole point, but maybe giving a little more time... And the wheel interrupting the gameplay with a pause is a little rough, maybe if you do it like in the middle of the gameplay without pausing, and the changes get you by surprise or something would be better, of course, is my opinion. Oh and the music is really good. Nice work!
Yeah agreed its a bit too rough around the edges and i just didn't have time to fine tune the randomisation period before the end and may have become numb to it since i had no play testers. I might make some changes in the future especially to the wheel pausing as in mid-air thats a sure fire way to die and get reset.
Cool concept. Spinning to switch keybinds is something I haven't come across yet. It was genuinely hard to move after a while. Good work!
Thanks you! I just wish i could have made the game more polished in the end. Maybe in the future.
I really liked the idea of randomizing the controls.
I would have loved if there were a limit to which keys could be used to limit the guesswork of which key could be the right one.
Agreed. I'm hoping to add it before files are locked but I'm running out of time.
