Amazing gameplay loop, for a gamejam game this has so much in it I could play this for days. I wish there was a handholdy-ish tutorial at the start though with what to do with the gears and such. Overall splendid game

Thank you so much for trying it out! And yes, a tutorial was the biggest request so far! I will work on it :)

First few minutes it was difficult to understand but as I kept playing it got better. The UI felt a bit confusing at first sight, with what was interactive not being very distinguishable from what wasn't. This was worsened by the fullscreen ver. not working very well (I was using Chrome). The music was cool but also became a bit tiring after a while.

Leaving all these aside, this game was impressive, I'd play a full version with progress saving  : )

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying it out! I am going to work on adding new music and also working on a tutorial so it is easier! I will also look into why the web version is messed up. Thank you for the feedback!

I am really impresed what was you able to put together in just one week!

The game is pretty deep and it is a definitely nice spin (pun intended) on balatro scoring system. Yet the gameplay idea of creating some kind of clockwork mechanism is fresh and unique.

At first I was little overwhelmed with all the terminology, but I got used to it.

Audiovisuals are great and UI is neat.

It is hard to find any cons, but maybe I felt like the income could be little higher in order to purchase new stuff.

Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for trying it out. Indeed the game does need a lot of balancing. Thank you for your great feedback!

It is a little difficult to get the hang of, but one I understood what was going on, I had a blast with this one, it's such a cool concept and the variety of gears available is impressive for a game made in a single week!

Developer

Thank you! I will indeed work on a tutorial on the next update.

Without a tutorial, this was kind of difficult to get into, but I certainly got somewhere! I assumed that pairing larger gears with smaller ones would give me more spin overall just like in real life, but I don't think that was happening. In the end I just focused on the combos of special gears and on getting placements to make sense where I could link the most gears without issues.

I didn't feel like I ever had enough money to really customize my build, not sure what I was doing wrong there. Also turns with a lot of gears took longer than they should have, as I was just clicking and waiting another 20 seconds for the same canned animations as last time.

Still, fun game. I love the unique gears. With a tutorial and better economy management, more options for the playing field, this could be a very addicting game.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yes you are right! The game does need some balancing on the economy side. Also for the counting animation you can spam left click to make it go faster ;) Thank you for trying it out, love the feedback!

Oh no, gear Balatro, a weakness I didn't know I had. I can tell I've only scratched the surface but this is PHENOMENAL. It wears its inspiration on full display but certainly brings a novel and (albeit a little confusing to start) an addictive puzzle to the table.  Definitely one of the best entries I've played, and without much competition. Incredible work.

Thank you so much for trying it. It is indeed confusing since I did not have the time to make a tutorial but i will work on it!

visuals in this game is my favorite one! if it had interactive tutorial, this game is perfect! anyway this is so good.

Developer

Thank you so much! I will make a tutorial on the next update.

Very cool concept, I'm a sucker for Balatro like games and the gear mechanics of it just makes it so enjoyable, also very funny gear options (I went for the serious gears of course) :D, amazing work ♥

Developer(+1)

Thank you so mcuh for trying it out! And yes, we have to be very serious.

Very good use of the theme. The amount of features and levels in this game is very impressive for a game jam!

whoaa i played this i think the longest out of all the other games this jam. enjoyed it thoroughly, seeing the points rack up is really satisfying. maybe the start could've used a bit more hand holding, there were a lot of buttons and options thrown into my face from the start haha, but turns out it's not that difficult at all. GREAT JOB!!

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah the main feedback point IS a tutorial, I was going to make one but I ran out of time. I will definitely make one for the next update! Thank you so much for trying it out!

Erhm, I'm just gonna let my highscore say what I think about this game.

Developer(+1)

2nd highest score, good job! Thank you for trying it out!
