Looking for an artist — anime hyper-real style — for an indie game called PULSE.

The world: post-nuclear-fallout. The character: Marco, a 23-year-old Mexican-American college swimmer running through ten zones of apocalyptic beauty and horror to find his best friend.

The cat is named Nacho. He is already at every location before Marco arrives. He is simultaneously dragging a burrito across a field AND sitting on a fence post watching. No explanation is given.

There is a payphone in Zone 7. Marco picks it up and dials his mother’s number. It rings twice. Disconnects. He keeps his hand on the receiver for one beat too long. Then keeps walking.

The mystery at the center of the game is called EVAC 87. The number 87 is embedded in the game, the jersey number of the person Marco is looking for, and the dimension the Oasis exists in.

The game is fully built — complete with 10 zones, all bosses, all lore, animated finale, and secrets...

It is copyrighted. It is ready for an artist.

Offering revenue share. Looking for someone who wants their name on something that matters.

DM me if Nacho made you smile.

Hey there, Do you have discord ? where we can connect and talk more about it
Thanks

how does he look like? why dont you do a concept for characters  etc w gemini orchatgpt

but from the sound of it, that is a massive environment type of game. this probably work as 2D game imho

The concept sounds really distinctive, especially the contrast between the darker post-apocalyptic setting and the stranger details like Nacho and the recurring EVAC 87 mystery. I also like that you’ve already built the full game before looking for the artist, since that gives the visual direction a much clearer foundation.

For a project with an anime/hyper-real style, I’d imagine keeping the character designs and environments visually consistent across all ten zones would be one of the bigger challenges. Do you already have a defined visual reference or a few key scenes that show the exact style you want the artist to follow?

Umm, sounds interesting! I'm curious whether you found someone for this or are still searching for them?  I would love to share my portfolio with you
