Great work! The art is amazing and I was just in awe when I saw the punch animation! Super cool to be able to actually launch enemies (and trash containers lol). Really unique look of the mechs, really nice work!
LOVED IT, mechanics were seamless and easy to learn and the sound design awesome
Nice work so far! I love the various mech designs in this entry.
The pixel art and global visual atmosphere are very cool. Also, very impressed by the animations done in your game.
GJ
you did a really great job on animations, tho I'm kinda unsure about you wish to make with gameplay, I wondering if the desire was to make a beat them all or some turn base RPG, not sure about that, but the assets pack's neat
The art is absolutely fantastic! And it's super cool to see your progress through the journals.
Dropping the mechs into the middle of city streets gives them a great sense of scale, and the way they move slowly and deliberately does give them the feeling of being construction equipment smashing.
Movement style makes me think it could be a neat mix of puzzle and beat 'em up aspects. Know you didn't get as far as you wanted, but still has some really cool potential.
Good game! Lag is deathly, but I love the art of the mechs, and the animations are great! I love the sketches too. I wish there was more to the game though, I think these mechs have great potential. Did you design them yourself?
That Godot lag spike when showing elements for the first time really is terrible. I really need to build a system to preload them that I can paste into future jam games. =/
Thank you so much! Yeah, all my own designs. Started as little doodles: https://space-craft.itch.io/right-to-repair/devlog/1558130/day-0-brainstorming
I had sprites for several more, and certainly a full level, but I got myself into technical issues that ate up the whole jam. Still tinkering with the project post jam tho!
Cool art and animations! Following you to see what you come up with next.
I love the art style of the robots! You have a solid idea here that has a fun game play. Nice work :)
I dig the concept !
This feels like an oldschool sidescrolling beat em up mixed up with a Megaman Battlenetworks style of gameplay and thus feels like quite an original mix.
Spritework and animations of the mechs are the highlight here, they look really cool, and i liked that the windup of the punch didn’t feel too slow to time your attacks.
Had a few issues, the sound seems to lag like crazy (which i know can happen sometimes with Godot on web builds) which is a shame cause i otherwise got quite surprised to hear voicelines :o
Now other than that the core concept of the game feels really solid espcecially considering this is a solo effort, plus the time you took to document your progress !(cause i know i surely couldn’t find the time to do the same so mad respect here O_o)
I can only say congrats on the work you managed to put out and encorage you to continue building on it, cause it looks promising ^^
This looks great and the world suggested by the visuals is very attractive ! I can see this combat mechanic be the basis of a much bigger world? like a rpg where the combats will be realtime action?
Thank you so much! Yeah, I wanted it to be like a realtime tactics rpg, with a variety of moves for knocking eachother into things in the environment.
