Crazy good work! You got yourself a new fan

Could use improvement:

  • Health bar should probably not go into minus.
  • When looking to the left you can flip the weapon sprite so its not backwards lol.
  • When landing on enemy, the player should have to click a ready button before battling, else they could lose the run if they're not paying attention.
  • Wouldn't mind having a tooltip for the stats on the right, for a description of what it does.
  • Needs music! D;

Big fan of the art here!
This is my favorite art style :)

Actually the wheel you have, where you spin for some outcome, is kinda what I had envisioned for my game, but I didn't have time to implement that unfortunately.

The weapons were really cool, the juice was there. Not gonna lie, one of my top games played this game jam!

You're expanding on this idea after the jam, right..?

thank you for you Kind Comment and you good Feedback ❤️

Seriously, it was made in 7 days? It turned out sooooo good. The only thing missing was some music, but it's extremely fun!

thank you very much, I’m glad you liked it 😊

I really like that you use the wheel to set your build before the action phase and do unique actions, like go to the shop! One thing I was confused about it some of the things you could roll for. For instance, I don't think I grasped what exactly the "taxes paid" roll did? I'm not sure why or where taxes were involved. I think some work on UI legibility and teaching the player what certain things mean would help. Nice work!

I really enjoyed the Rouge-Like from this game, it felt refreshing as someone who enjoys the genre :)

Very fun overall!

I think this is really well made. I enjoyed it. Took me a minute to figure everything out, think it would benefit form a short onboarding process.

Really cool! Nice sauce on the combat. Overall, fun take on the theme!

Developer

thank you 😉

Really fun concept for a game but l think enemies should not be able to shoot right at the start of a combat. Also if you attack often enough the game stops for a bit too long.

its an awesome take on the spin theme combined with combat mechanics. i think it would be cool to have a little tutorial or something that explains some of the stats and upgrades because i couldnt figure out how some of them worked. the wheel is so cool, i like the controlled randomness that makes you want to focus so you get the area you need. the progression for the enemies is good as well.

only things that i felt could be improved would be how transparent the ui is in battle, because sometimes the enemy would get behind the ui and i couldnt see any indicator of their attack. the upgrades mid-battle also felt sudden, like i would be spamming attacks and all of a sudden be clicking random upgrades. other than that, i love how polished the game looks and feels!

Developer

Thank you very much 😊, i I will work on it thank you

A lot of the mechanics here felt pretty opaque. I couldn't figure out what luck was doing, and I wasn't really sure how armor worked (is it just temp HP?) The combat felt pretty good though.

Developer

Thank you 😊, yeah you right i should explained it more , luck is the stat that influence shop , level up drops , and shield is a temp hp , but you right it need more polishing thank you

Nice concept! The increase of power is really satisfying. And although the game has many stats, most of them provide a nice balance and feel great to obtain (the only that felt arbitrary to me were stamina, energy and luck).

However, the games get quickly easy, and progress is really slow. I though 1 wave meant 1 spin, but apparently not, and I wasn’t really sure when I would move forward, it just felt forever each time. The game quickly becomes trivial, because you don’t land on that much combat. So quickly I had powerful weapons, health and armor that would never decrease, and tens of thousands of gold. Although axing ennemies was fun, I felt I was just spending time grinding. I eventually lost on the second boss because, although it wasn’t difficult either, its health bar was ridiculously large and after what felt like 15 minutes of just spamming the attack button it decided to teleport on me and insta-killed me.

So yeah I think it needs some balancing. But there’s already a great work on variety (I really liked the weapons names). Also visually wise, there is not a lot of sprites, but I most applause the efforts on the pixel shader and the many, many visual effects that all feel very satisfying! Sometime making the screen hard to read, but imho that’s the fun of these kind of games: making a lot of visual mess to feel powerful. And your game definitely nails it!
