Wow wow wow I just played this and it has to be one of my favourites from the jam. The art style is very flash game / newgrounds inspired which I loved, the character designs are amazing (i swear some of them are kill la kill inspired), the story is easy to follow and pretty funny, the music and sound effects are amazing,
And then the gameplay is also really well made and has a lot of depth to it. The final boss was genuinely tough, although I realised after losing to her over and over that you can spin at the start to gain health (i completely forgot about that from the tutorial and played most the game starting with like no hp lol) so with that knowledge I was finally able to win. Only complaint i guess was that sometimes my mouse went to my second monitor while i was charging it up although I'm not sure if you're able to prevent that. Either way this is incredible and I'm sad I didn't find it earlier.
Glad you found it in the end! And yes, its absolutely based on kill la kill, trigger has been a massive inspiration for me over the years.
I couldn't test two monitors since I just have one. There has to be some way of locking the cursor to the monitor playing the game, I'll do some research. Thank you for playing and super happy you liked it!

great art, very polished and fun to play with a decent difficulty curve, spiking a bit at the last boss. a lot of dialogue and an actual story kinda, crazy this was made in a week
this game is so much fun omg i am so very impressed that you managed to make this so polished and with so much content in a week!! the gameplay loop is really fun and clever, the UI looks super sleek and YOU CAN BOUNCE OFF IT!! im in love with all of the characters, they have so much personality and love put into their designs, and the whole game felt so alive !!! i also really enjoyed the story, i thought the final boss and ending were super sweet. im the biggest lucy fan she is so silly!! pls keep making this i would pay money for it i loveeeeed it <3333

sillyserious story telling.I would actually love to see a game like this on steam. I saw one recently, but the mechanics here honestly seemed a lot more satisfying. Great job on the game!
Cool game, visuals felt a bit rushed. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable game, and I had fun playing it!

Awesome game! Art, writing and sound design are all top notch. Gameplay really shines in the last 2 fights (difficulty spikes a bit at the 2nd to last fight), especially the final one, I had to pay attention to the attack patterns. Extremely cool that you can block the enemy’s top with your zipline thing. Overall very polished entry and I would really appreciate if Lucy’s sister could dm me thank you :)
Awesome game! The polish, art and inspiration are on a whole nother level. My favorite of the jam so far.
This game is Soooo Anime, I love it! I love the Jojo reference at the start as well lol. Really good beyblade mechanic which is so intuitive as well and everything is so polished. It got narrative, audio, and just awesome all around. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this! Awesome work!

Gameplay wise... solid as well! Though somehow I've managed to one-hit the emo kid (pretty sure he fell on me? Or maybe I fell on him? No idea) but other than that, nice game!
HAHAHAH I just saw the stream! Thats a crazy strat you used there. The drill for the zipline has a collider and you can bounce off it. You placed it perfectly so that your beyblade kept bouncing between the drill and the enemy, making a massive combo and oneshoting him! SO COOL TO SEE!
Thank you so much for the stream. Streams are the most useful feedback I can possibly get! Also super thankful that you read through all the dialogue, some people don't like reading that much so end up skipping most of it.
PS: The dad just works abroad, if you lose against the final boss the big sister explains it.
Super duper awesome!! It's got a ton of personality and charm in it with all the cool character designs and stuff and the little detail of the ui being bumped by the spinners was great. All of the dialouge was cool and the last fight was pretty challenging.
Whoa, this was basically all I would've wanted in a beyblade game but with some more. As much as I loved the action of this game, I REALLY ADMIRED THE UI! It's so dynamic and it wraps around the arena perfectly. The writing was hilarious too. I loved every bit of this and the difficulty curve towards the end was great, challenging but so worth it to beat it! Amazing submission. One of my faves for sure.
