Really Great Game. Loved the art style, the music and the mechanic is very creative especially for the theme. But even out of that its really good that can stand as its own full release one day. Good job keep it up!
This is so much fun!! The art is awesome, enjoy the twist on a classic card combat game
Awesome! I really like the art, especially. A lot of the character designs are very interesting. Make me wanna know about their origin story. Perhaps, maybe about their past life and how they end up playing the card game with us? Anyway, congrats on the jam entry!!
Excellent game ! The concept is awesome game and the wheel add really good feature. Wonderful job !
This was great! I love the idea and the look of the game!
Is this your first game? It's pretty well made, I didn't encounter any noticeable bugs. I do like how you gave all the characters unique quirks to give them some personality despite no dialogue in the game. Rascal is broken as hell though pls nerf.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! Yes this is my first game I have made and posted to the public. I have made some small games for assignments through for classes at my university, but those usually followed prompts and preset codes. This is the first one I had the freedom to make whatever I wanted and actually pour my skills I have learned from programming, concept art, and 3D modeling to make something cool. I'm happy you like the characters. I hope to add more in the future and hopefully get some dialogue in, even if its just little quips and voice lines. And yes, Rascal is likely the toughest opponent, but he also has very low health, you must take him down before he hits you with the Rascal Death Spiral :D
i really like the style of the game and how you did the people, very good .
Wow, I wish I knew how to draw and create arts like that. Very beautiful game and really imersive. I could see this being even a vr game. It has a lot of potential, and the game loop is very fun. I only missed an option to lower the mouse sensitivity, but other than that, the game is perfect. Well done!
Thanks for Playing! Happy You Enjoyed! You are so right about VR, maybe ill look into that in the future :D
Nice blend of 2D and 3D visuals~
Love the concept and amazing job on the graphics! I was a little confused at first since I didn't realize I had to draw the cards myself, is there a reason why you do that and not just get the cards dealt to your hand? Maybe because it's more intuitive? I also found myself stuck with a lot of healing cards sometimes, it would be nice with some kind of discard mechanic! Maybe a future item? :O Or....maybe you could pay cards from your hand to make the wheel have better results!
yap yap yap, great game either way!
Thanks for Playing! When you run out of cards it does warn you to draw more, I just felt it adds more immersion to the game. All cards are sorted into different categories and I plan to add a feature where if you have an abundance of one category in your hand then it will give you something different to help prevent you from only getting healing cards when you don't need them or only damage cards when you're on the brink of death. I tossed a discard mechanic around in my head for a bit because it would be helpful, just thinking of the fairest way to implement it. And I do have plans for cards to effect wheel luck ;)
Yeah I thought maybe it was an immersion thing! I just felt silly that I forgot it sometimes. Fun to hear you got lots planned, so good luck with the future development!
The gameplay is super cool and the game looks great! Snakebite + freeze combo absolutely melts opponents and i kept turning to see the wheel and what it could bring every turn. The game is SUPER fun and we ended up beating all the opponents twice before our demise.
Glad you liked it! Seems you got the hang of it really well. Lucky You!
I do like the cardplay but it does feel like you go in with only some influence on the outcome. The art is amazing and the scene is set very well. Keep making making games.
Thanks for your feedback. Sometimes you can get very unlucky with what cards you end up with, but if you can make do with what you got, it can be really satisfying. I do have plans for the future to get the player more in control
I enjoyed this! Some good strategy involved. I never got a positive result from spinning the wheel so I ended up ignoring it :) Very fun idea and worth developing further.
That's the catch of the wheel, it's not always going to end up in your favor, but that's where risk comes in so you cant avoid it forever. Thank you for your feedback!
