Very cute and a little bit sad ;-; but I guess it's good that they were all trying to protect the capy from the humans? Also I lowkey thought it was gonna turn into a horror game when the alarm started going off!!
It was a bit heartbreaking to see the capy trying its best to help everyone. I was so afraid it would have a sad ending! Thankfully, it was a happy one. :) I really enjoyed playing it.
It was so much fun! The capybara was absolutely adorable. I liked that all the mini-games were Spin to Win. The story was fantastic, too—a perfect score with no complaints!
Such a cute game! Great job on all the minigames! Enjoyed the story as well, and I'm glad the capybaras are ok; got scared for a second.
Very cute adventure game! The sprite work was excellent! Struggled a bit with the stick minigame at the end but nothing serious. Nicely done!
Stop tugging my heart strings😭
The art and story were amazing. I really wished there were a little more mini game though
This was one hell of a roller coaster. First I was like these animals are far to aggressive for such a cute game, then happy because they tried to protect the little one, then scared again and then finally happy.
Amazing job with the story, super cute art and nice sounds as well! Also nice mini games of course!
Keep it up, you've done amazing!
Thank you for taking that journey with my game! And for your kind words, much appreciated (also I love your game).
really, really cute game. each minigame was very different so kept gameplay spiced up. smart dividing the tasks into days too with the different animals vs feeling like you're grinding through them all in one go. enjoyed this!!
Appreciate the feedback. Deciding to make 6 minigames with different gameplay mechanics and then trying to design them to make sense with the specific animals/position in the village made me hate myself, so I added the 7th at the end too. I don't know what's wrong with me.
Really cute game! I liked the twist with the animals and the mother, though I was very scared the baby capybara would die, glad that didn't happen! I was a bit confused on the stick minigame, but other than that this was a really solid experience!
Sometimes a happy ending is the least expected! I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing,
Oh wow that was such a cool story! the minigames were cute, albeit I struggled with the stick, and the art is beautiful, as well as the audio being very well done! All I want is more! we need a sequel were they break out of the zoo (or whatever it is).
The scene is called Sanctuary! Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. They already "escaped" (it was an open-air sanctuary), and they are on their way back to the village to make sure the other villagers aren't sad! That is my head canon, and I guess the actual canon because I wrote it.
The graphics were lovely and the story was very intriguing, I was very invested! I was slightly confused how the capybaras were able to just leave at the end, but in general I liked the tale.
No complaints, except for making some the minigames a tad more forgiving, but all in all, this was a great experience. great work!
Hah, I am surprised it took so long for somebody to mention that. While making it I was aware it was a bit hand-wavey, but the place they are taken to was some kind of animal sanctuary, they weren't being held captive or anything. The humans were misguided, but not malicious (much like the other animals).
Also, I thought it was amusing that the mother could just walk home at any time, but I like to think she was simply too busy helping and knew her boy would keep things friendly at the village.
Thanks for playing!
Mmmm, yes. This was very good. At first I was like, 😭 "Why are they being so mean to him??" And then I was like, "Oh." You delivered that moment expertly, the pause after he walks off screen 🤌Impeccable. I had to know what was going to happen then. And each of the minigames was very well put together as well! Some good enough to almost be an entry in the jam. No bugs, polished, each well and concisely explained. The only thing I can say I missed here was some catharsis at the end with the other characters, but that's your narrative choice and I respect it. Very seriously solid entry here, see you in the best of lists.
You are too kind! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
As for an extra scene returning to the village, well I mostly just loved the idea of a closing scene with the pair of them waddling away, but I think however you imagine it to go is better than what I could write for it!
The most I've been emotionally invested in a story for this jam. Wonderful. Each mini game was great!
Great art and cool story!
I've played a lot of games these last few days, but not many of them touched me the way this one did. I deeply loved your writing, how you used the gameplay to tell the story, and the contrast between the lovely visuals and the serious themes. I hope you keep making games. I'm sure you'll make greater and greater things! I think you made something really special here.
Thank you for your kind words, I am glad the narrative resonated with you. I will indeed try to make some more games, this has been a super fun and exciting time.
