The level design is so cool! I'm quite envious of your skill. The music does get a little repetitive after a while, but I was so focused on the screen that I only noticed during Level 4
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
cool concept and cool level design my only complain is the music it gets repetitive over time but overall that's a solid good game great job :)
thanks for playing. guess i`ll need to work on the music
Neat! I like the smooth animations on the main character. All the spinning level elements were cool, kinda tricky, but not completely unfair. Visuals are a little bare though and I’m not the biggest fan of the repetitive BGM. Spinny level platforming is serious enough for me. Nice Job!
Interesting little platformer! It's a simple idea, but a good one, and honestly a pretty nice take on the theme.
I wasn't a fan of the spinning laser(?) levels, which sort of dropped you in with no warning at all that you were basically on a timer. Didn't matter too much since you dropped right back in though, especially for a jam game. Just something to consider if you intend to expand on this concept at all.
Speaking of, I actually think this could be really cool if expanded. Having every level utilize the spinning mechanic in a different way could be a lot of fun to play with. My personal favorite from a design perspective was the first level into the second level. The fact that the goal now spun actually caught me off guard, but felt like a really natural progression and introduction to the game. Overall, I dig it! Well done!
That's a good point about the spinning laser levels. I can definitely see how dropping players straight into a timed challenge without any warning can feel unfair (that was something I hoped would surprise players in a fun way). I'll keep that in mind if I continue working on the game. I really appreciate you taking the time to play and share your thoughts!
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback!
I like the guy's run animation
thank you
Fun levels and great animations!
I like when people use basic shapes. Did you use a sprite or a Polygon2D for the rectangles?
Also, i agree with the person below, can't get the music out of my head
Thanks so much. I actually used sprites for the rectangles instead of
Polygon2D. I wanted to keep things simple. And haha, I'm glad the music is stuck in your head that means I picked the right track!Classic well made plateformer game. The music might get stuck in my head for few hours now ^^. Too too ty too too too too ty too too
Thanks a lot! ^_^ Hearing that the music stuck with you is a huge compliment. : )
Great game! The death animation is so very gruesome, which makes this game very serious.
thanks for playing : )
The main character animations feel really nice
thanks am glad you like it. :)
Nice short and sweet game! The movement felt good and I especially liked how you could clip onto the top of a platform even if you didn't jump all the way up. That's always a nice quality of life feature I like in platformers. One piece of feedback non-gameplay related is the camera is zoomed out a little much in my opinion, made it hard to read the text especially.
i zoomed out the camera in other to cram the level in and freely move the platforms.. i will make the font bolder to make the text more readable. thanks for your feedback. :)
A very nice and simple 2d platformer game. The character looks very nice, and the simplistic style is refreshing. I would have liked if the player wasn't so small, but that's not a big deal. Cool game, keep up the good work! (:
Fun game, the character movement feels great, i would have liked a bit more levels but i understand it's hard to do in a week :>
i would add more levels after the jam, thanks for playing. : )
I really enjoyed the feel of the character! Their movement and jumping felt great to control!
thanks, that was my main focus, am glad you like it.
Pretty neat, I liked the animations on the character
Thank you i made it, i will release it as an asset pack soon. thanks for playing
yo this looks very cool!
thanks, i appreciate.
I think with a little more time in the oven, this could be really fun. Definitely something here; keep it up!
thankyou , hmm, i will add more levels and improve the design. thanks for playing.
