The game video itself is honestly great! It sets the vibe of the game extremely well and it's generally a fun watch! 5/5
With the game design itself, I'm a bit fan of having it be a very simple numbers game. although the game is simple, it does have a lot of emergent complexity due to its upgrades and such, one critique though is that sometimes I feel like I could very arbitrarily lose a game due to a mutation that's something such as "all your revenue are gone" and I feel like there's nothing I could do about that, but overall it's still very fun. 4/5
Lastly, although the UI has a very clear inspiration on the 2000~ windows era, I can't help but feel that it is very basic in nature and I'd love to see a lore creative approach with it. Although for the mutation itself, I feel like the said "mutation" within the game only follows the theme within technicality, they're not mutations which changes the gameplay into a different manner than before, but rather debuffs to hinder your progress. Which although is a very neat game design choice, it doesn't follow the theme that well in my opinion. 2/5
Overall, although I'd like a more creative approach to the theming, I still enjoyed the game a lot and finds it very fun!
This game definitely takes a few tries to get into and really understand (I kept mistaking the left bar for spending money), but once it clicks it's rather fun! The game is definitely too difficult to want to keep playing with how short the payment window is (and probably just bad luck on my end), but overall the idea is executed pretty well and having to strategize what to do is very fulfilling. The theme is tied into this well, but it's somewhat annoying to work around.
Overall UI is very consistent and works well but I don't know if it's necessarily 2000s? I might have a bad sense on what the time period looks like, though, so I'm not going to fuss over it. The video is also rather funny and definitely helps ease into the stressful nature of the game, though the end is a little empty.
Great game!
They style was mean to resemble windows 2000 allthough "following the theme by technicality only" isnt something im prod of I will admit
