If you have reached one of the endings of the game (or more), could you please tell us which one(s)? Same for romance achievements. Thank you very much!!

Really cool game!
Liked the ship controls and movement (maybe would make the "speed" streams to kinda "grab" the ship in a sense that maybe it's not so difficult following it).
The art is also really nice!
And dialogues are really well written, they have some spelling errors (I do not remember where, but yeah, it's normal on big narrative games, so np)
Congrats!
Thank you very much for your comment!
Sorry for the spelling errors (even if, like you said, it is hard to avoid in such text-rich games) and glad you liked the game overall!
Thank you for trying our game! Could you please tell us which ending(s) you reached if you finished the game, and if you romanced someone? :3
I still gotta finish it, but I was going for the Wendy route! I'll comment again once I do!
I played on the web using Vivaldi as my browser. On the web, ESC closes you out of fullscreen if you are in it and you have to press it a second time to pause. It would be nice if there was another way to reach the pause menu, such as using "P".
On my first playthrough, I got the "Rage against the machine" ending, I romanced Bernard, and was close enough to Wendy to admit that I had feelings for her too. I view that one as my 'true' ending, as that was the ending I got by playing the game as I normally would without going for specific achievements or endings. I played through a few more times to see all the endings, and I got all the achievements.
I started a new game, listened to the opening speech, had a coffee with Lee and Wendy, and went through the tutorial. I got to first inlet, but, before I could interact with it, my character said that I was caught and getting pulled out, and I got the "You're fired" achievement. I was then taking back to the beginning speech by Captain Lee. I tried again, this time without sharing a coffee with anyone (as I was told I didn't have any credits) and without going through the tutorial, and the same thing happened. The first time my Siren's Call was at 120.0, while the second time it was at 0.0. I believe this was related to doing the tutorial or not.
I completely refreshed my browser and was able to interact with the first inlet. I was able to then play the rest of the game as normal. I was also able to load and play my old save.
I really liked the story. I figured things out pretty early on and enjoyed seeing it play out. I liked how the coffee conversations changed base on conversations I had with other characters. It helped bring more life to the story and made replaying the game more fun. I thought both Bernard and Wendy were likable characters. I wanted to spend time with them and get to know them better. I really liked how you included polyamory during the conversation with Bernard towards the end of my first playthrough. It felt a realistic and very positive portrayal of it, which is something I always appreciate. I also loved that they were both cool with my character being trans. Warden was an interesting character. I felt like she was the character I got to know the least, in part because she had less screen time, in part because she came across as a more focused on the job over anything else type of person. I think I could have enjoyed learning more about her and getting to know her better, but between the length of the game and the current story, I think it works as it is. Lee was a fun character to dislike. Even when I was trying to romance him, I thought he was an absolute jerk. As a character, I think you did a good job with him. I really liked the fact that his personality remained constant whether you tried romancing him or not, and that I found him to be a jerk either way.
The unconscious were an impressive combination of feeling very real and very abstract. The art helped give them that abstract feel, while the conversations with them made them feel like people. I liked how talking to them nudged the story in one direction or another. The orphan really tugged at my heart and I wanted to check on and help him the most.
The mini-games were fun. I got lost a couple of times in the Cognisea, but I was able to find my way with enough exploring. The different zones were a nice touch; I liked the little additional bits of dialog I heard in them. I enjoyed the beacon mini-game quite a bit. I got 100% on each one, which felt rewarding.
The art was really good. It conveyed a lot of information, from the moods of the characters (the little blushes were so cute) to the feeling that things weren't right at some of the islets. The music and SFX were also spot on and really helped set the tone.
This was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. I hope you do more with this, whether with these characters in particular or in this world setting in general.
Wow thank you very much for your very detailed and very nice comment! Such dedication to complete all the achievements!
I’ll try to answer some specific points:
Anyway, thank you again for such a positive review!
I never know what to suggest when reviewing games that are story based, and this game is based. But I like every thing I saw, it felt very complete. I didn't have time to get to an ending (I got to the area with the depressed child) but from what I saw of the story I liked, and the world you've built is very interesting. All the art is very good, I think maybe the text boxes and the wave box could maybe do with a once over so they're a bit more thematic. But yeah, cool game.
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked it !
You are right about some assets not fitting thematicly, an improvement of the wave box is planned in the future. We're gonna think about the text boxes too.
Game has really nice art, music and storytelling.
I like how you design mechanic of moving through "space", it's very simple to learn and have pretty great abstraction with that low art design.
Although it's not really type of my game I think for someone who likes a story-driven games could like it.
Maybe you load for first time mission room you could add some small info how to interact by clicking on items, it was not obvious for me on the first moment.
Congratulations on your submission!
Thank you! Congrats on your submission too!
We're happy you liked the mechanics. Some Things needs to be more clear with them, we will make it a priority.
We will try to find a way give players info about how to interact the environment and how to save progreess, without breaking the immersion too much.
Thanks for you feedback!
I played the entire game and reached the Maybe next month ending.
You’ve got a very unique game and concept. The point and click adventure style works really well for the type of complex story you are going for.
Positives
My gameplay and choices
I generally picked the options that were good and established friendship. I basically threw a tantrum when Bernard mysteriously disappeared and never really got along with Warden. I never followed the instructions of not interacting with islanders. I interacted every chance I got and also riled them against the institution I was working for, lol. I was chill at the start and became rebellious by the end.
Points for improvement
I don’t have a lot to add here because your game is quite brilliant. Length was short, not enough content. Would like to see a longer game. (In this case that is also a positive? haha) More backgrounds inside the office space would be fun. Yeah, can’t really think of enough negatives that do not include “add more content in xyz”.
Overall, this was a great experience. You have gained a follower and I will be looking forward to the progress of your game! Hoping you have a great game dev journey in the future too.
Wow, thank you very much for your kind and detailed comment!
I am very glad you liked the art, as you can imagine a lot of efforts has been put in it (not by me haha)! About music and sound design, even if we are not crafting it ourselves, carefully choosing and mixing took quite some effort too! Regarding the mini-games, their design was a collective work and polished over time by gathering playtests and comments–so thank you again for your input!
For the shaders, thank you for asking because it makes me think that they should be added to the credits, if not already. Indeed, we use a bunch of them and we have no shader artist in our team (maybe a very newbie shader tweaker). To be more precise:
Maybe I forgot some… I’ll have to inspect the game code in details.
For your run, I guess you were not so rebellious after all… If you want to check for other endings maybe you can consider returning to a previous islet…?
Anyway, thank you for playing and I am really glad you enjoyed it so much!
The shaders list is extremely helpful, thank you! I am myself a shader noob and always looking for cool ones. (Did not know that the oscilloscope was a shader as well, but now that I see it, makes so much sense)
I will go all in rebellion mode and try to get fired this time coz fxxk capitalism lol. (I think I did not follow the white arrow coz I ran out of time. This time I will)
godotshaders.com is an awesome resource for sure! Glad I could help you with my list! And yes, it was way simpler to modify the shader parameters on the fly rather than to code an actual oscilloscope with godot nodes and scripts!
For the “all in rebellion” you need to befriend Bernard like you did, and also come back to previous islands (for instance going to the first islet in mission 2)! Glad you enjoyed the game so much that you wanted to play another run!
All in rebellion!
I noticed that the original game was an entry for a jam called “Fxck Capitalism”. I had no idea, but it fits so well! The story has some really strong themes.
Thank you for your amazing review, and even the little comment on the previous game version! It really warmed our hearts :3
Just popping to ask you: isn't your picture Dr Frost? If so, you really do have good tastes ;))
Thank you! Your game is quite amazing and deserves the love.
Yes! It is doctor Frost! I have been supporting them since it was a very new manhwa. So glad it caught more attention! Are you also a fellow Doctor Frost reader?
Thank you! Congrats for the results of your game, by the way! We took advantage of being three team members to test/rate different games, so only Vost played yours, but I will try it out soon too :3
Yes, I love this series. I admire the fact that it adresses really deep topics in a very serious way, with the help of some professionals too, while staying entertaining for the readers. The characters are all very interesting and well-developed too, and they have a great development all along the series. I stopped reading after the psychiatric hospital arc after he reunited with Seonga Yoon because I was up-to-date with the English release on Webtoon. I am a binge-reader at heart so I usually prefer to stop a series for a while then come back to it much later to finish it all. That's very cool that you love it too and follow the author since their debut!
I am assuming you did the art for Mindfarer? It is quite amazing. I am very new to digital art and looking at your art was definitely inspiring.
Thank you! Congratulations to you too! Mindfarer scored very high on all metrics! Whenever you test it, do let me know your honest thoughts on it!
I also have the habit of stopping a series so I can binge. It has been quite a while since I read Dr. Frost. It is time for a reread.
The story really had me interested and the ship flying part felt nice. Got lost on the map on the last one but still ended up finishing on time. Think there is a lot of potential for this game and could see it being built out even more. Good job
Hello! Good job on reaching the last island, it is a little bit hard to find :)
Does that mean you've reached the ending? Could you please tell us which one please? And if you romanced someone? Thank you very much for trying the game out! And yes, we are trying to still debug it/add more content, we are hoping to make another release this year :)
Yeah, I got ending two, the employee of the month. I was talking to Wendy the most but didn't get any dialogue options that suggested romantic interest. Not sure if I was picking wrong options or was on the wrong story path, I did feel like dialogue with her was getting more personal.
For Wendy maybe neutral/wrong options, or you didn't interact with her enough, or you didn't talk to her after returning from the last mission (romance dialogs unlock after the last mission in every case). Congrats for the Employee of the month ending! Not so easy to finish all missions on time. It is not the "true"/hidden ending though ;D.
If you are curious and try the game again later, try going back to previous islands where you've already settled data collectors and interact with Bernard more. Btw, I don't know if you've noticed but you can Save game to try different options/walkthrough.
I didn't realize you could interact with people after missions or the save game feature. I will have to check them out.
Love the visuals!
Would only change the camera movement to not rotate with the ship.
At the third checkpoint I got stuck. The black screen no longer showed the wave thingy didnt work either and the character didn't want to talk with me.
Mby its a bug.
Anyway, the game is nice, good job and good luck pushing it further!
Hello! Thank you for trying our game so quickly. I have a few questions to try to understand where the problem is coming from:
/!\ SPOILERS BELOW for those who haven't played:
Did you donwload the game or did you play the html version?
If I understand correctly, you were destroying the data collectors, destroyed the first three indicated by the purple ping, and then got stuck? Then you went back to Bernard, and he didn't interact with you?
We still have trouble with the wave parameters so I'm not surprise if you couldn't see it anymore, but normally you should have be able to stop destroying the data collectors whenever you want, get back to Bernard to reach the "Rage Against the Machine" ending. So yes it is a bug :/
I tried it again, this time I could not reproduce the bug. It happened before talking to the lost child on the web build.
But this time the background behind the old man was purple not orange. So mby thats a hint.
I managed to finish the game and got fired. =|
I would like to have a go back button, Its easy to missclick options.
The contrast between the space art style and the space station + character art style is a bit strange.
Congratulations again on building this!
As shown in the credits of the game, the background designs and the characters designs were made by two different artists, so I guess that's why there is a contrast. I am the artist who did the characters designs (and the cutscene), the other artist couldn't work with us this year so we let her background designs as they were from the 2024 version. We like it this way, but if a lot of people are bothered by the contrast maybe we will think of something after we finished debugging and polishing the game and addind the features we still want to add :)
We agree we need to help players try different routes more easily. A go back button is a polished option we have think of, but haven't implemented yet and are not sure to implement, because there is already a SAVE/LOAD menu (which works for the html version too). Maybe with a "skip already read dialogues" it would be nicer to make new walkthroughs, but for now we haven't had time to dig into this option. We will do our best to improve that aspect in a future version.
I am a bit confused what the problem was exactly and where it came from in your first comment, but I am glad you could reach the end of the game even if it was not the most satisfying of the 4 Endings ;D! I think I misunderstood what you were talking about in your previous post so I inadvertently spoiled something from another Ending lol, sorry about that.
I will clarify some stuff from what you said that may help understand what you saw:
The background of islands are changing when you come back to an island where you have settled a data collector in a previous mission. If you interacted with the "emanations of the subconscious" before and after settling the data collectors, you will be able to tell that something might be wrong with them... ;) By the way, if you do that and talk to Bernard at cafés, you may reach a very differend ending.
But yes, in any cases once you have settled a data collector, the next time you will come to the island the projection won't interact with you anymore, you will only be able to listen to their thoughts (with one exception but in most playthrough that's what you will get).
I am guessing now that the "wave thingy" you were talking about were inside the data collector mini-game? If the data collector wasn't showing, maybe you were on the wrong island. If you were talking about the signal, it is normal when the emotional weather of the Cognisea is bad (everything is blurry etc) that the island signal disappear from time to time when you are trying to match the signals, but we agree that it may look like a bug. It is on our list of polishing (we want to add a static sound like the signal is lost or something).
Thank you again for your feedback!
Great concept. Really enjoyed it. The navigating and matching signals were fun.
Thank you very much! Can you please tell us if you were able to reach one of the endings, and if yes, which one? Thanks for the feedback!
We will start to try the jam games after the weekend too!
I haven't finished the playthrough yet, but of course happy to give the details once I do!
