Thank you!

A very fun and interesting selection of minigames! Loved having to go to the different worlds and solve both sides. The snail race was a bittt hard for me though lol, but a solid game, good job!

I loved the art in this game! And I thought the different interactions were fun! Thanks for making this game!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I liked your Hamster Machine game as well ^^

The visuals are lovely, and the puzzles are fun to play!

In the 9×9 Grid puzzle, I thought I'd made the "S" correctly and spent quite a while looking for what door had opened. Eventually, I realized I'd placed the piece at the far right of the second row incorrectly. ^q^ Maybe it would help to have a text prompt or some other kind of indication when a puzzle is completed?

After the snail race, I activated a flag, but I couldn't get the first door in the other room to open. Maybe I wasn't stirring the soup correctly... I held down the mouse button and moved the cursor in circles over the soup, but nothing happened.

Overall, I really enjoyed this cute game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!
Yea the Star Grid tile has that sneaky 6th tile! Also you can press "I" when on the puzzle to view its solution, also when you solve the puzzle the door opens and it closes the puzzle.
The soup stirring can be like that, I'm not sure what the exact problem you faced was but its likely that the mouse movement wasn't detected in the region it was supposed to be stirred. If you want to try it again, you could try stirring it then let go of the left click, stir it, and repeat.

Thank you once again for playing!

I really liked how the two worlds each had their own unique spinning mechanic! The art is very cute and I really liked that this seems to have custom music as well, very cool!

Developer

Thank you! Yep, all the art and music were made by me ^^

I have been outwitted... by soup... this will haunt me for a while.

I think the ideas you have here are interesting, and I like the presentation. This is a great first jam game (and possibly first game in general?), so congrats on that!

The implementation could be improved, as others have mentioned. I think the biggest issue is that some of the challenges can be rather vague (see the aforementioned ego-obliterating soup), and that the dance floor is way too small (I can't keep pressing WASD that quickly for so long). It's not as much of an issue but I also think that there should be a different connection between the world switching mechanic and the theme. A roulette wheel doesn't really add anything to the mechanic, and just makes switching worlds a bit tedious if you have poor rng. Maybe you could do something like spinning the other way (ie, WDSA) enough times  to open a portal for you to use?

Still, the concept is solid, the puzzles seem interesting, and the presentation is great; so overall I think this is well made. Great work!

Thank you for playing!
Yea, I didn't realise that the soup one would be so vague ^^ "

There is a piece of paper in the room which hints at spinning on the soup.

About the snail race, I just adjusted the snail race's difficulty quite alot during development, and since I was the one play testing it, I didn't consider how punishing it is if you move out of the 2x2 grid ^^ " Thank you for the feedback!

Originally, I wanted to make it such that the Roulette would allow to move between multiple worlds and it would be necessary to reach each world and get clues from all to solve a room or a puzzle and such, but yea time got the best of me and I decided to make it compact ^^ "

Yea! This is my first jam and my first attempt at publishing a some-what complete game!

Smart use of the spin to win theme, didnt get how to spin the soup tough

Developer(+1)

Thank you! As for the soup, you just need to spin your mouse over the soup container! There are pieces of paper which hint at the puzzle in each room.

It is really really cool to play a full on puzzle game!  This was a really neat implementation, where EVERYTHING has a spinning related solution.  Super cool and I had a lot of fun playing :)  The snail race was tough!  Great work!

Developer

Thank youfor playing, glad to know you liked it! Yea that snail race is tough ^^

The stars constellation puzzle was super fun, and the spinning bunnies too :)
Sadly the orange constellation just wouldn't open the door for me :(. I even checked with the answer key, but the correct solution would do nothing. The purple world worked fine tho.
The visuals and audio is quite simple, the jester design is very cool.

Overall it's pretty cool, the biggest issue that there is very little gameplay :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

For the Orange Star Puzzle, it's probably the sneaky 6th tile, it only has one dot of orange but still can be missed easily!

Submitted

You're right, didn't even notice the small dot. I've now fully finished the game! :)

Cute and funny! I loved the audio :) DING DUNG DA DING DAAAAA

This was a cute and creative little minigame collection. I liked the idea of using the roulette/world-switching mechanic to travel between different puzzle rooms, and the art style was really charming. The jester design was great, and the constellation/grid puzzles were probably my favorite part.

My main feedback is that the game could use clearer instructions in some spots. A few mechanics took a bit to understand, especially the mouse controls, world switching, and the snail race. The snail race also felt a little too hard compared to the rest, mostly because of how much spinning it required. Overall though, this was a fun first jam entry with a nice style and some cool ideas. Great work!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Yea, I did realise that the clues could have been more clearer ^^" and the snail race is pretty challenging but it is possible to beat as well.
Again, thank you for the feedback and playing!

I thought everything in the game was pretty self-explanatory, and I had a great time playing the different minigames! The constellation puzzles were a stand-out, you did a great job on those. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the game because I couldn't win the snail race; I would've liked the dance floor to be a bit bigger, I kept stepping outside of it while trying to spin really really fast! The world-switching mechanic was also very unique. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you for your thoughts!
Yes, it seems I ended up making the snail race a bit too difficult, thanks for the feedback on that, its possible to beat but very strict about errors ^^"

Glad to know you liked my mini-game!

I had to look at instructions from comments but i like the art style and it is a cool attempt for your first jam! don't be hesitant to overexplain stuff to people because since they didn't spend a lot of time on the project like you it can be lost on them. I'm guilty of this too hahah :D Would appreciate if you could rate our game too cheers!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

Yea, I realised early on that it was pretty ambigious ^^"

Still thanks for playing!

I liked the graphics, and it was very creative the spin mechanic. Good job!

Such a cute Idea to travel between levels via a spin mechanic and I love the little fun spin-focused mini-game collection as well, nice work!

Developer

Thank you!
I'm glad you liked it ^-^

Submitted

I like the idea but I feel like it is not the most creative thing for spin to win, nice "mini-game" anyway!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for playing! ^-^

This is my first jam so I decided to make something simple ^-^"

Love the jester design and his skedaddling, good little minigames, especially liked the make the letter with the colour. Nice art style, cohesive colour scheme, enjoyed the music, matches theme well, struggled with the snail race, only mini-game I didn't do. Nice work

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Glad to know you liked it!

Yea the snail race can be rough, requires alot of spinning  ^-^
