Yes, you are allowed to update your game during the evaluation period, but we ask that you strictly limit updates to "essential bug fixes" and "multi-platform accessibility support" only.

We intentionally keep file uploads unlocked because we want to prioritize playability and fairness. Specifically, we want to support you in two ways during the rating period:

1. Essential Bug Fixes: If your game has a critical issue — such as not booting up, breaking on web browsers, or crashing halfway through — you are encouraged to fix it so everyone can fully experience your hard work.
2. Adding New Platform Builds (HTML5, Mac, etc.): If you only managed to submit a Windows version by the deadline, you are absolutely allowed to upload an HTML5 (Web) build or a Mac build during the evaluation period! We highly encourage this because adding a browser-friendly version makes it much easier for other participants to play and rate your game immediately.

However, to ensure a fair and horizontal playing field for all participants, please do not add any new content, extra features, or major gameplay overhauls until the voting period officially ends. The core game content must remain the same across all platforms.

💡 Quick Guidelines for Updates:

Allowed: Fixing critical bugs, repairing broken builds, resolving text typos, and uploading new platform versions (like converting a Windows exe into an HTML5 web build) as long as the game content is identical.

Not Allowed: Adding new levels, implementing new mechanics, or completely replacing assets to make a "different" game.

If you do need to upload a hotfix or a new platform build, it would be awesome if you could leave a quick note in your game’s changelog or description so that voters know what changed.
