cute game I was a little lost but it was like solving a puzzle so i had fun
That's what I was kinda going for! I'm glad you had fun and thanks for playing!
The art style looked really nice and the chill music went well with the vibe of the game. Good Job!
Thank you!!
overall a pretty well put together incremental game (visually you did a great job with the style!) - i think it is nice that the upgrades automate stuff, but for people (like me) that love pressing buttons, it would be cool if this option wasnt taken away once the upgrades happened - or maybe instead of the input to the machines being the action you are automating, the interaction would be spinning the machine to more closely align on the theme when it comes to gameplay rather than premise, and this would be automated with upgrades so that you didnt tire yourself out / get CTS.
i think the game would overall be more satisfying if you got more machines, rather than just upgrades for your current one - but this is obviously subjective, and your solution is a lot more calming than the stress i imagine mine would grow into.
good job folks :)
Thanks for playing our game! It's funny you mention that- the very first design of the game included having to physically spin the clothes in the machine, and I agree wholeheartedly about that style being much more on theme. I was reluctant to try implementing that but looking back I should have gone for it! And honestly I agree about the machines, in a full game I'd definitely go for the 'scale up' satisfaction. Thanks for your feedback!
Visuals and audio is nice but I feel like it misses a bunch of UX interactions that would make it more enjoyable: clickable items have no audio or visual feedback, not much eyecandy that would make this game satisfying for me.
Thanks for your feedback! I will keep that in mind
I like incremental games once in a while. This one was fun. I only have to complaints:
- Once you unlock upgrades to auto-fill the machines, there is not much more to do for the player except click on upgrades
- I was a bit confused about how things were working for a while. On the other hand, it also had a nice effect of me going "Ooooh that's the dryer, not a second machine !" so it was kinda fun in a weird way figuring out what I was supposed to do x).
Other than that the graphics were really nice and the music very calming. It was a nice and relaxing experience :)
I hear you and others about the confusion at the start- I purposefully left the controls ambiguous so the player could have that aha moment when they figure it out! That concept is probably unnecessary for a short jam game, but I was getting creative with it yknow? That being said, I don't want my players to be confused to the point of frustration! I appreciate all the feedback on it. I'm glad you had the aha moment, and thanks for your feedback!
I don't really like incremental games, but i will try to rate it fairly.
The visuals were spot on. The lofi beat was fitting. Maybe a deep machine noise could've set the mood a bit better, to polish it even more, and some noise when i clicked and upgrade for example. For an incremental game as a jam entry it was the right length.
Thanks for trying and rating it fairly! I agree some sound effects would have stepped it up a notch, the jam time crunch is real lol. Thanks for your feedback!
I was a bit confused at the start on what everything was and how it worked and figured it out int he end. All in all, this is a lovely small idle game with nice and chill music and good visuals. :)
Thanks for the feedback and your kind words!
I like the upgrade, VERY serious.
Fred is a very serious stakeholder in this company!
I was a little confused about how to interact with the machines, but I ended up getting it after a while!
I'm glad you got the hang of it! Thanks for your feedback!
Why does fred have to die for the sake of efficiency :(
In a full game I'd go for a cosmetic toggle to keep him around if you want! I too love Fred lol
Cool ! I didn't really know what to do at first, but after a bit I got the hang it, and it's a nice game, good job ! (I would die for Fred)
We love Fred in this household. Thanks for your feedback!
Love the laundry theme "wink wink"
In laundry we trust!
Cute game! I liked the design of the car and plane washers haha! I bought loading last for some, I shoulda gotten it first.
I'm glad you liked it! Yeah maybe some category descriptions for the upgrades would have provided some clarity, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for your feedback!
