I really enjoyed this game! This is not your guys' first game jam, and it shows in the quality. The browser version played pretty smoothly and I only noticed stuttering when going between areas sometimes, which is downright impressive. Out of curiosity, did you guys run into any issues with Godot's pack files being over 100Mb and hitting the Itch limits on this game or did you not have to work around that?

Developer(+1)

Reused textures, low poly as well as compressed audio allowed us to keep file size at roughly 40mb. We used the same 10  256x256 tiling images for like 90% of the assets.

Keeping it lean. Nice!

How could this have been made during a game jam? It’s wonderfully enjoyable, and the driving mechanics feel great.

Holy shit this is so good. A dungeon crawler but you're driving a car. The whole idea of having to ram into enemies being your attack, and that you can kind of dodge by backing up is so novel. Plus just ploughing through weaker enemies is so fun.

Couple of things: Being able to lean out of the passenger window would help with seeing things/interacting, as sometimes I struggled getting in position on the other side. Also I feel you need some way to attack enemies on the side of the car, maybe slamming the door into them? It was kind of annoying having weak enemies pound on your side and have to maneuver just to one shot them.

Speaking of shots, you know what would be a cool idea? A gun. Ammo is rare but you could lean out the window and shoot enemies.

Great game. Good luck!

You can actually lean out of the window by holding right click lol. A gun would be epic yes. Thx for playing <3

Boozin and Cruisin while blaring the horn and flipping the bird as I mow down people is a 10/10 experience. Give me what I most desire, ANOTHER BEER

For some reason the first time I played , I clicked during the opening sequence and it froze? Unable to reproduce though so maybe a me issue. I loveed the opening sequence and mechanics you included around driving though and felt successfully ragebaited (in an way that made me feel like a toxic driver) when I got stuck in a corner after a sharp turn I struggled to make it through xD. Thank u 4 providing this isekai  adventure and great job with the game!

This is actually somewhere up there in the hall of fame of itch’s best games. It’s seriously going in my collection. You have high chances of pursuing commercial success with this game and even higher chances of winning this jam! If I were to be critical, I’d say it sometimes felt like it lacked direction. Some kind of hint as to where to go and what to do would be nice for the less quick-to-grasp people like me. Partly due to that, partly due to my short attention span, I was not able to go far into the game but the dozen minutes I played, it left a positive, memorable impression, so, GOOD JOB! (Update) Also, hilarious opening sequence and overall humor / comedic value!
