Made some Updates to the game:
-Death after killing scientists triggers checkpoint at boss.
-Removed the ability to fire during charging.
-Fixed missing animations.
Thank you to everyone for their great feedback!
Good game design cant believe how u handle it by urself o7
Good game, I like too the charging mechanic! If I can add something, maybe just a way the scientist could damage you, otherwise the first part is easy. Good job and good audio design!
A litle bit short, but fun.
nice simple game, although a little bit too short =( I like the idea that you have to charge your battery as it drains. Good job!
Thank you! I started on it a day late, but I do intend on continuing the story in the future. I appreciate the feedback!
The gameplay overall is fun but one issue I found was the death animation not playing for every NPC, also as a suggestion it'd be nice to have a checkpoint before the boss and also if we couldn't shoot while recharging that'd be nice. However, the music was really nice and atmospheric though the default Godot backdrop killed that effect sometimes. Overall good job!
Thanks! Very good feedback. I will certainly update those changes.
The game was pretty fun! I liked the character designs a lot, they were well made, and the animation of them running away looked really good. The gameplay felt nice too, though it was a bit too easy, so maybe a little more challenge would make it even better. Overall, good job!
Also, if you have time, I’d be really grateful if you could rate my Mini Jam game too: /jam/mini-jam-214-machines/rate/4750260
Thank you! I will rate yours as well!
This was a great idea! Poor scientists though, I felt bad for zapping them. :( Good job on your project. Rated.
Thank you for the feedback! Lol its hard to know whether to feel bad for the scientists or the Ai itself right.
Oh hell, YES. The murmuring whispers at the beginning, and the suspensful beat, that was way more intense than it had any right being with like 7 sprites total, just bravo.
Also, yeah, machine + out of hand, how is this the first escaped AI shootout that I've seen here?? it's an idea that fits so well it seems obvious in hindsight. The game feels tight, not too challenging, just fun, tight controls.
My only note: Checkpoint at boss start would've made this more fun for me, I wasn't excited to play through all 3 rooms of scientists to try again the third time (no deductions there, just being constructive ^_^)
Lol thank you so much for the feedback! I'm super glad you were able to enjoy it.😊
Nice job! I really like the recharging mechanic
Thank you!
A rogue AI escaping the lab that made it — that's the theme and the limitation in one premise. Loved the clinical scientist telemetry narration ("stable performance across all behavioral parameters") playing over your escape; it builds real atmosphere. Clean pixel facility, a polished HUD, even a trailer. Confident, cohesive execution.
Wow! Thanks so much for commenting! So glad you enjoyed it.😊
