I actually agree with the points you've made. I think a lot of these mechanics have the potential to be expanded.
One thing I'd love to see is the Talk option getting expanded. It would be nice to be able to have small optional conversations with the characters when you run into them, even if they don't advance the story. Little interactions like that would make the world feel more alive.
