I'm not aware of any issue with the Mac version opening, but just to be sure, how exactly does it not open for you? Is there a specific error message?

Does it say anything about the developer not being verified? I know Mac doesn't allow games with no publishers by default, so you may want to try this tutorial I found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOW5dyA_JgY. That is, unless you've done this before.
