I think the concept of having the player take an active role in becoming environmentally aware is immersive, and I like the short background story for the player character, but I am having trouble connecting the currently described framework for the gameplay and environmental awareness. Other than that, the scope may also be quite large depending on the specifications of how the system is implemented, but I think this could be a cool simulation-based environmental-themed game.
