I really love this game. Well done! Graphics? Good! Concept? Good! Polish? Good! Music? Good!
I can't believe Gendo did this to Shinji.
You saved him!!
Puzzle design was well executed,
I like this a lot, it's very original and cute :)
Thanks a lot for playing :>
Fun. Changing the move speed to something like `dx += 6.0f;` would make it more fun.
Thank you for playing :) perhaps this was our blind spot since we were playtesting a lot along the way and got used to the movement speed
Shinji's so cute! I was able to beat it fairly easily, although the last level fooled me a couple times. Good puzzle design!
I think the controls were a little awkward, I often forgot which button was which, and the character movement felt too slow.
Thank you for your thoughts! One of our thoughts was we didn't want to add too many different colours to the game since it might be confusing as to what to mix to get what colour, and it felt experience-breaking to have like a help panel for that, so we limited the number of colours. But at the same time that meant that the puzzles had to be a little simple :D we did try to get creative by adding more mechanics (such as the wand dipping) but we didn't want to overwhelm our players (like you mentioned with forgetting buttons), so we made a small tradeoff there :)
I think the wand dipping was really good! The issue wasn't that there were too many controls, more that they were too far apart on my keyboard. using Z/X/C + arrow keys would be a lot more ergonomic.
I like the idea! But I'm bad at how colors mix so i couldn't figure it out
Yeah this was one of the considerations we had :( we didn't want to include too many colours because it might end up being confusing and ruining the fun. On hindsight perhaps a quick toolbar to let players have a quick understanding of how to mix the colours might be helpful. I often forget how to mix as well during playtesting myself :p
Really like the interpretation of the theme! I think having to merge colors to dip the wand to open doors, without messing up the color stream reaching the robot, was a very smart way to add complexity.
It took me a minute to figure out I could go over doors, though, but maybe I'm just dumb xD
thanks for playing! Not at all, think the responsibility is on the game creators for making that more obvious, perhaps showing that the main character is flying would be a more obvious indicator
This one is really good. Love the mechanics!
I guess this guy likes evangelion lol. Anyways I thought this was a really unique take on the theme. I think there maybe could have been a bit more instruction but I was able to figure it out on my own after a bit. Very solid game.
Thanks for your feedback! Yes! we name the robot after Shinji from evangelion since he is always sad :<
My favorite game on this jam so far. The idea, the last puzzle - all really cool![]()
Thanks a lot!!
