Hello! Checked your devlog a bit. I like the idea of your game, I hope you will manage to create it, using Unity seems really difficult, and the idea of developing a 3D game instead of a 2D one alone seems really intimidating to me... Especially if you still plan to do 3 different characters. So I'm impressed by your perseverance! Have you thought about finding teamates in the jams you are participating to? Maybe it could help with some of your struggles. But maybe you prefer going at your own pace too. Either way, good luck and have fun!

Congratulations on making progress!

I've been working on making my 3D character movement (in Godot) for a while as well...
Far from being happy with.

I gave up on mixamo animations. I wanted to keep the camera attached to the character's bones. That way you get a interesting shaking effect. Mixamo animations have a weird trembling making the camera shake too much and I wanna avoid blender. When I open blender is like all time is getting sucked into a black hole...

I tried using boolean modifiers to make my 3d worlds. It a bit simpler... but still painful XD.
