Hey nice work! It was fun and I like the dorito with a hat sprite

I think the idea of getting the enemies together and making them stronger was really cool, but I wish the enemies tried to get together, instead of just following me. I had fun though, and the soundtrack is an absolute banger!

Thank you for the feedback! To be honest, I added the enemy merging as there was a way of cheesing the game by forcing the enemies together and circling around them (since the AI is so simple and there's an enemy limit, this made things very easy). There were just hours remaining for the game to be submitted... and I just wanted to punish cheating somehow... but it turned out to be quite fitting to the theme so it would feel like a crime not to mention it (even though it rarely happens)

I'm surprised people like the music so much, I just threw it together with my limited experience and was frustrated with the result (especially the looping)! Well, actually I was proud of the game over music

Very basic and fun. Nice!

Really fun simple concept! I did encounter one issue, my inputs tend to get stuck relatively often. What I mean is, if I hold say, A to walk left, then shoot and try strafing with W, even if I let go of the A key it keeps walking left. I think it's likely caused by the engine missing the get key up event or somethign similar, so the input buffer is stale until I press the same key again to reset it.

We're just using IsKeyPressed directly, so I'm not sure how this is happening

Good work with this game! The soundtrack and sprites are really nicely done.

Nice game, i like the music and mechanics, only problem is the collisions, which make it hard to hit enemies, but tbf it also makes it hard for them to hit me, so i guess it's balanced

Developer(+1)

By the way the enemy hitboxes are quite a bit bigger than the player

You focused on a simple idea and made it polished and fun! It's missing some juiciness, but the core gameplay feels nice and fair! I guess one thing I would tweak is the length of later levels - at least for me, after like level 12, they felt unnecessarily long, and at this stage the game is still relatively calm enough to recover if you get accidentally hit.

Solid entry! If it was an 80's arcade machine I'd be stuck with it for hours!

Thank you! This is the first gamejam I have completed (with the help of my teammate of course, I probably wouldn't have got far without her), and I don't think we put that much time and effort into it compared to other entries...

I was trying to rush to make the gameplay more balanced before the deadline, but it's probably not quite right (the limit to how long a level lasts is 1.5 mins)

I also wish I could've made the music better, or at least added an option to turn it off :(
