I uploaded an NSFW game 9 days ago and haven't been able to get a response from the official itch.io support email. I carefully read through all the guidelines to make sure it could be uploaded without any issues.

Is there a way to check the status of the review, or find out why it's still not showing up in search despite following all the rules and guidelines? Or is it normal for indexing to take more than 9 days? If so, how much longer should I expect to wait?

An indexing delay of 9+ days is completely normal, especially for NSFW games. Itch.io reviews all new accounts and adult projects manually to ensure compliance with strict payment processor rules. Due to high submission volumes, this queue frequently takes 2 to 6 weeks.

That response doesn't help me in the slightest, since there are other games in the same genre that were indexed within 2 hours of being uploaded. I need to know the actual reason so I can determine whether this is something I'm able to fix on my end. If I'm going to be told this takes weeks, that's simply not accurate, as I've seen NSFW games get published almost instantly and not just AI-generated games, but also games made with the same engine I used.

Could an admin please take a look at my post? I'd like to understand what's going on, or whether there's some kind of preference given when uploading games to itch.io. Especially since your support email doesn't seem to respond to any messages
