It's impossible for this to happen ....

A lot of people have been talking about Google Search and bots being used to artificially drive-up views.
Seems people are using it as a type of DOS attack on Itch.io. 

Some days the issues Itch.io staff have to deal with are crazy! 

I'll do you one better:

I hope they can find a way to stop this since this seems like a lot for the site to handle and it's kinda annoying to just get a ton of fake traffic.

But I don't understand why they're attacking itch.io? Why?...that's why sometimes I can't get in, they increase traffic and basically bring down the itch.io servers, now I understand 

As I said, they load the itch.io server so they can break it, so if a person wants to enter the site they can't do it because they don't get a response, and it's a serious damage for everyone,I'm sure the attacks come from other sites similar to itch.io, they want to cause damage and they succeed, they should simply put an IP limiter,This way they can interrupt the flow before it damages the servers, and I also believe that the attack comes from one of the users registered on the site.
