I got stuck in the browser version -- but I think the menus were borked in it. I picked up that dusty scroll, but couldn't read it in the pause screen or anything because there was a weird zoom-in where I couldn't see anything when I hit pause. Or something! I'd bet there was a puzzle or something, but I couldn't figure it out...
Also, Marina died twice. The hatch didn't vanish after I interacted with it, so we fought Juan twice.
It WAS pretty spooky and I liked it! I just don't think it was working as intended for me :(

The aesthetics and general vibe exuded by the game is great - it encapsulates what makes an atmospheric, dark fantasy experience worth playing.
Unfortunately my enjoyment was marred by issues with UI and proper collision detection due to the low resolution. Sometimes reaching the third map would take me back to the second if I took a step forward.
I dig the overhead Zelda style dungeons - that was a great throwback.
Overall a very good game that would benefit from a polish up post-jam. Nice work :)
Would’ve been better if the UIs that don’t fit on the screen (options and menu) had just been removed entirely. Similarly, if continue is not supported, it shouldn’t be there in the title menu.
Creepy, strange, and captivating visual style! Interesting story as well.

I REALLY liked this one, I'm a bit biased for retro looking stuff but this game truly intrigued me. Made me feel like I was playing some old lost game I wasn't supposed to see or something from a creeppasta. Me like it.
The ending caught me off guard.
I did find a bug, where Marina supposedly died in combat, but then she simply spoke in a scene in the trap chamber.
Thank you playing, and thank you for the review!
That "cursed game" vibe is exactly what I was going for. I was very inspired by Yames, World of Horror, and of course Funger.
