Really cool aesthetics and the theme is perfectly implemented. I think it would be a cool mobile game

Developer

Thank you very much! Haha yeah, I was inspired by a mobile game called Land Builder so maybe you're right :D

This is so cool! I really like the art. Also, the use of themes are impressive in this game.

Developer

Thank you so much!

I really liked the game's graphics.

Developer

Thank you very much :)

Nice art but I must be hexed because I can’t even make a single potion, it gives me all the colors I don’t need! Great job on the game though!

Developer (1 edit)

Sorry to hear that! Yeah the game has some balancing issues that I didn't manage to figure out in time. I already have some nice ideas from the feedback here of some changes to make after the jam! Thank you for playing!

Great work on the art and presentation.

I love the characters and vibe this game has going on!

The game is actively screwing with me isn't it? I just need that last piece to finish the circle and it wont give it AT ALL! Then I decide fine I will redo one of the edges and lock current almost best fit that I found, and the moment I break the corner and replace it so that newly found tile can fit IMMIDIATLY!!! game gives me the one I have waited for!!! I know it's just RNG but it just can't be real

Developer

Haha yes, it is real, it is just RNG :D  Sorry you had that experience :D

Very good art and cool mechanics. I managed to acquire the pointiest hat in the world and now the character of my game, Morrigan, can wear it.

Developer

Thank you so much! I am very happy that some people managed to get the pointy hat :)
Haha yeah, I think she'll look great in it! :D

I like it a lot, but it’s very hard. Reminds me of Dorfromantik. I spent so long waiting for the tile to make my merge, but it never came. I guess I have bad luck.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for playing! I have never played Dorfromantik but I just googled it and it looks cute and very similar to this mobile game that I was inspired by called Land Builder. I see that it is a board game too, I will try to play it with my board game group :)

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the right tile. I played the game a lot during develpment and it's true that every now and then if the RNG is really bad you can get stuck. I tried to balance it out with some player agency with the locking of tiles and the bombs but it's not enough. I was also thinking to make the offered tile not truly random, and increase the chance of the tile the player needs as the board gets fuller. I am currently doing this with the bombs and it works nicely. Maybe after the jam ends!

Bombs were certainly helpful in stalling for time. You may consider doing something like Tetris, which uses a bag system to ensure every piece shows up once in a given 7-piece series. Though your game has many more tiles, so it may still be tricky. Or perhaps, you could allow bad tile placements, but at some sort of penalty or cost for each mismatch.

Atmosphere was Great. but I think the tile placement was not working for me.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Sorry to hear that, I threw the tutorial together last minute so it might be confusing. The only rule with the placement is that the tile colors have to match any adjacent tiles that are already on the grid :)

Really good art!

Developer

Thanks!

Nice, simple, complete. I like it.

Developer

Thank you :)

This game is hard and enjoyable, in a good, mind-training way! Congratulations!

Developer

I'm glad to hear that, thank you so much for playing my game!

Great art and the game is also a bit hard

Developer

Thank you so much! I agree, it is a bit too hard :D I added the bomb tiles to make it easier but ran out of time to do anything else

Submitted(+1)

Awesome artwork holy crap haha

Developer

Thank you so much!!

I liked it, the gameplay with the hexagons with possible color combinations is interesting and the art looks cool!

But I'm really bad at it xD

A reset button would be a nice addition to make it less frustrating to start over than to refresh the page and see the cutscene + tutorial again.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing my game! Yes, I struggled to dial in the difficulty :D A reset button is a good idea, I will add it after the jam. Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

High quality but a bit complex, too hard for my dummy brain

Also nice idea of having both hexagons and witch hexes

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Yes, the game is a bit too hard. I realized it way too late in development so I at least added the bomb tiles to help with that :D

I did it! I got the pointiest hat in the world!

I'm terrible at the game so it took me one million tries, which also meant it was all the more satisfying to win (I'll forget that I just got lucky picks this one time.).

Tha game is pretty fun, thanks for sharing it!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! The difficulty balancing was difficult (haha), so I am very happy to hear that you got the hat!
