Same game repeatedly #1 in Latest multiple times per day for last 7-9 days

Hi, one game seems to be spamming the Latest tab for physical games. For the last week, this game, The Infinite Digital Circuit TTRPG has constantly been back in the top 1-10 games. I check the tab multiple times a day (when I get bored). It's the main way I find new ttrpgs. The game moves down to maybe 10th most recent, then is back in the first slot in the page. It's a small annoyance that one developer seems to be gaming things, but I'm concerned that if one person gets away with it, others will and the Latest pages will become a wasteland of the same games. Is this a bug?  This also feels really weird, when I see several posts here saying they can't get their games to show up on the Latest tab at all.

That doesn't seem normal. If it's repeatedly returning to the top without a real update, it may be a bug or something worth investigating. I'd report it so the team can check before it starts affecting discovery for everyone.

Indeed, a game constantly straying in the top 10 "latest" is very suspicious.

Greetings, I'm DTIMAL, the developer of The Infinite Digital Circuit TTRPG. I saw the discussion and understand the concern. I recently found out a unconventional method with specific parameters to keep putting my project to appeared in the Latest/Recent tab and was testing it this past week if it is truly a bug/glitch but also because, as a new greenhorn developer with no connections, stagnant on any growth, and no other options to gain attention. I know getting visibility is difficult with this discovery algorithm and because of that I was getting a bit trigger happy with this method. I have not shared this method for manipulating visibility to any other developer or on the Internet and I plan to keep it that way and stop doing this method so frequently. However since it may affect discovery for other developers, I already let The Itch Team know and they should determine whether this is intended behavior or a bug/glitch. - Thank you for all the concern, It was valid and understandable and if I was in the other side, I would have been the same -DTIMAL

Not sure you really think it is valid or understandable,  DTIMAL, as I see your game is back in the top 10 Latest physical games again as I am type this.

That's fair and I'm sorry. I understand why it looks contradictory. After posting my reply, I reported the behavior privately to Itch because I think they should determine whether it's intended or not.

In the previous message I basically said I will try to avoid relying on it but will occasionally use it as I said "not so frequently" and as a small struggling Creator I need all the visibility I can get.

However with the backlash from you with accusations and antagonistic intent and potentially consumers and many other developers I will stop.

If they determine it's unintended therefore wrong to keep doing, I'll respect whatever decision they make and won't do it for other games I will create or develop in the future.

Until then, I'd prefer to let the Itch team investigate and make the final determination.

I appreciate you and others bringing up the concern. I understand why it raised questions, and I hope the team can clarify whether this behavior is intended or not.
