Very polished and fun game!

Difficulty perfectly managed which make it very fun, the game is very polished and I the theme is on spot, i love it so much!
I thought the last level was a little bit hard though, and then realised that we could upgrade our army with the barracks... I almost made it to the end without barracks tho! I had very close tries. Did you manage to do the last level without upgrades?
The last level is almost impossible without the barracks. The boss and the waves come too fast for you to keep up with (I was only able to beat the first 3 without upgrades). Maybe with very lucky enemy spawn RNG, it might be possible. The reception of the game’s difficulty seems to vary widely among people, so in the future I could add a difficulty toggle (easy, hard, extreme, etc).
I never thought 2048 could give me so much anxiety. I managed to beat the first two levels, might play the rest later. It's really cool and probably my favorite take on the genre!
I was dumb and didn't realize Q/E were buttons you could use to move here, was trying to beat it using only WASD and wonder why I keep getting stuck on corners
Been hearing complaints about the difficulty spike (sorry about that), level 2, especially with the small map and the mountain hexes becomes really difficult. It’s really challenging, and in the future, I will nerf it a little (thanks for the feedback, everyone). If you are still having trouble with the game, I would recommend replaying the tutorial and specifically reading the “Legion Synergies” page carefully (those help a ton for the hard levels).
my favorite game I've seen in the jam so far. uses the theme well, with a great twist on the "2048 genre." well done!

awesome idea, very original. The roman theme is really well explored and you can feel it is ingrained well in the game. Great job!

Very well done! Fits the theme a lot, it's extremely engaging and has a solid couple hours of gameplay. Really cool game :)
It took me a while to understand how to play (I wasn't taking advantage of moving in diagonals, merging units in time etc), but wow is it a great game. I loved it. Also, very polished and with with great graphics
As others already said, the difficulty curve is steep and would benefit from more balancing. But for a jam game it is absolutely amazing
A good idea but I can't get past the 2nd level even with the barracks upgrades, enemies just upgrade too fast while i need to rely on rng
