I really like the idea here!  Especially for a first jam game, I think the vision is really cool, and I also love that things are procedurally generated!  I played through 5 times and enjoyed the variation I saw on each run.  I agree with the other comments about the freezing being a little frustrating (especially with no way to restart once frozen).  That kind of instant unavoidable death is something I would probably suggest not including in future games.  It especially stands out because the other effects I got were pretty cool (I really liked the bomb one!).

A couple of other things I might suggest:

  • It would be nice to get more feedback when I'm getting hurt, and when I'm hurting the enemies.  A sound effect, flashing their color briefly, screen shake, and/or some other kind of feedback would really add to the feel.
  • The music loop is nice, but with a loop that short, it starts to get repetitive the longer you play.

All-in-all, though, I thought this was a really nice jam entry, especially for a first game.  Keep at it!  Hopefully we'll see more from you in the future :)

Thank you for your feedback. I tried to indicate that the player got hit by camera shake by my script didnt work and jam was going to end fast. Therefore I decided that it would be better if I checked if there arent any issues in exporting.

When it comes to music then Ill try to make a longer loop next time.

And I know that freeze wasnt a good idea. So I wont add it next time or I try to change its mechanic so it wont be frustrating.

I hope my comment didn't come across as too negative; there's genuinely a lot to like here, and a solid foundation to build on for future projects.  I hope you keep making games! :)

It didn't. I appreciate feedback that is very useful. And Im not going to stop making games. I ve already joined like 4 mour game jams, cause that one was pretty fun

Looks like it has potential. After the freeze I couldn't unfreeze.

Thanks

It's a cool idea! But after the freeze I couldn't move.

Thanks!

This was a cool idea! I got softlocked by the freeze spell like a few others here lol. I think you could do a lot of interesting things with this concept though

The Idea of random effects when defeating enemy's is really cool and unique . Great Concept and good game overall !

I read below that you're only 3 weeks into making games--great first entry! I like the planet in the bg.

The freeze effect also perma-killed me (as far as I could tell).

Keep goin!

Thanks!
I see a lot of people point at that freeze effect. I'll ensure that it works differently if I decide to use it future games

Fun little game! The freeze effect felt a bit bad, as it felt permanent and so it was just a random RNG-death after killing an enemy, and there was nothing I could have done to avoid it. :( Bad luck, but felt harsh. ;P Anyhow, nice! :) Congrats on finishing in time!

Yeah... it's a thing I noticed but didn't really have time to fix it. Overall since this is my first jam and I've been only making games for couple of weeks I'm quite satisfied anyways. Probably next games are going to be 3d, cause as you can see when I can draw and paint I suck at 2d animation and 3d is something I just understand better. Or maybe I'll try some 2,5d games. Who know

Also it would really nice if you rated my game

Anyways. Thanks for positive comment ❤️
