I would personally prefer the control with buttons or joystick but this is something new in this case, maybe it should simulate the old joysticks. has a lot of potential, i like the matching vibe

Nice game :) Controls are weird on PC, but perfect for mobile and I guess that's what you had in mind :) I had fun

sleek visuals! and music! the controls are challenging but once you get used to it, it is playable! nice entry!

Right into gameplay, I like that.

I have this strange issue that my camera drags to the right in some godot web games, including this one and my own too. My only workaround is making the game fullscreen, then the issue vanishes. I have no controller plugged in, that would mess with the mouse input.

King of Lizards is pleased with the events; King of Lizards looms above us, giddy with joy as we toil with our pride on the line, racing to victory; racing for redemption.

I loved the music and could feel my own adrenaline building up, as if I was really racing! However, as other commenters have mentioned, the actual controls didn't feel great. I'd love to replay this after the voting period if you make an update to the controls!

Fun game! I can feel the harsh kaiju judgement as godzilla watches me drive poorly around the track.

Looks and sounds amazing! Took me a while to get the hang of the controls, I can see this being really awesome to play on a more 'open' course, where the fine movements don't really matter that much. Great entry!

Great work with the music! Loved it!

Killed it with the music!! Definitely got the retro vibe!

Music was awesome! I wish I could control the ship with my keyboard. I just careened into walls but the music made it worth riding that wall a bit longer.

Developer(+1)

Haha. Yeah, keyboard controls would be an improvement.

Visuals are awesome and the music goes SO hard. Controls were a bit rough though so I couldn't actually finish a race. Might have been user-error there but standard keyboard and/or mouse controls would make this pretty awesome! Or you could keep it all mouse and hold left-click to go, right-click to slow down and scroll wheel to turn?

Developer (5 edits)

It wasn't user error. They ARE super rough and clunky. Thanks for playing, though!

Taking turns really slow and taking long swipes kinda works.

This looks really slick, and I like the minimalist controls in concept, but playing on desktop steering with the mouse is basically impossible. it's not sensitive enough.

Yep. Turning didn't turn out well. Thanks for the comment!

You really have to slow down for the turns, which kills the fun.

hey, learning's the whole point, right?
