Lab Escape's itch.io page

How does your game incorporate the theme?
The player is able to switch scale between normal and small, as well as the ability to shrink/grow objects to use them to beat the levels!
Level 1 is just an intro
Level 2 showcases player shrinking
Level 3 introduces objects
Level 4-7 is just for fun!

Did you use any sort of AI during the development of your submission?

No

Very neat world!

Pretty good game, don't know why it's so slow though.

Developer

Glad you like it, if you run it in browser it's a bit laggy. If you meant the walkspeed though, that was intentional, you speedup when you are small and when you are big it's harder to move around :)

I love puzzle games; my game has a similar idea, but it's about escaping from an alien planet. I couldn't upload the web version. Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'll give yours a try when I get some time :)

I really like first-person experience! It works find in the browser.

Congratulations on your submission!

Developer

Thank you so much! I find the browser is a hit or miss, glad you enjoyed the game <3

Good job you managed to make quite a few levels with some great mechanics!

Developer

Ayyy tysm for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed and like the mechanics :)

Hey, nice work with this one! I like that both large and small have different advantages that balance out pretty well, and being able to scale objects on top of that adds yet another dimension of control that makes this really awesome! I think it feels a bit slow in both sizes, but considering that's my only gripe with it, I'd say you did a pretty solid job!

Thank you so much for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the game! This was my first game outside of Roblox (I'm working on switching) so this was extremely fun for me and I learned a lot!

Hi CrimoraDev

I really like the concept, I did get stuck on level 5 I think it was. I tried building up down the long hallway, but it seems to block me from jumping and shrinking at the top.

I also tried crossing the red pit, but was not successful. The blocks just fall into the red abyss and I tried to build a bridge, but could not reach.

The glass was also not breakable for the extra blocks.

You should expand this, it would make an excellent full game.

PS. The web version does not work very well. Anyone wanting to try this, download instead.

Thank you so much for the comment! Level 6 does have an issue with the lava that I didn't notice until it was too late, and the crates in the glass is just to tease players (my friend wanted me to add it). I am thinking about making an actual game in this style though, I had a ton of fun making it an learned a lot!

Ah, level 6 yes. Sorry, I could not remember which one.

I did chuck all the crates down, as I looked down and thought I might need some. I enjoyed the humorous text. I see now the unbreakable glass is a tease. Good one.

Developer

Haha, glad you like it, tysm again for the comment! Inspires me to continue game dev :)
