Simple game, it follow Rougelite game design where you improve each run. Could use refinement but overall I like it, it reminds me of old school flash games.
A sweet and fairly simple game. Desert pyramids feel quite ancient, and the gameplay loop was rewarding, though certain mechanics (like the upgrade system) could do with some polishing. I loved the aesthetic, but the music needs a bit more love.
Thank you for playing! I tried to make the upgrades more op but yeah they are game breaking. I am so bad with music I need to crack down on that. Thanks for the feedback!
Pretty cool from what I played I think it could benefit from more strategy since its not to unreasonable to just fill your whole inventory off the start and leave but it has a lot of character which is one of the best things you can do for a game jam Imo.
oh there was supposed to be a weight system, did it not work for you? I hope not cuz I was overhauling that system so much.
there is a weight system and it works but at least for me I was getting plenty of loot at the very start of the level so the weight didn't really force me to take less it was more of a spawning issue than a weight issue.
Hand-drawn style is clean, charming and easy-to-read, quickly communicating the game objective. The timer, random loot and hazards, ability tradeoffs, and upgrades captures the essence of something like Lethal Company in a tense and more rapid game loop. Downside: knowing what loot I'm holding and how to easily drop it off took some figuring out.
Beyond the scope, it's easy to imagine line-of-sight/flashlight mechanics, more traps, and procedural dungeon generation to build on the tension. Awesome stuff :)
Yooo wassup Kaelan! Its been a while I didnt know you were in this jam, what game did you make?
Thank you so much, really felt inspired during this one, I am def gonna add more features and tried to put them in but felt I didnt have the time. Legit almost lost it while figuring out music.
