Honestly this was great! managed to get 71 after several attempts!

First off, all of the art is stunning! Love the drawings. They are just so expressive and hilarious! Really great! The 3D art and animations were also great and really helped to create a smooth transition between levels.

The music getting higher and faster was a great touch! Really helped create a sense of urgency. Also liked the little voice lines! The gameplay itself was quite fun - I think after the first few tries, the start of the game can feel quite slow (waiting for it to actually get tricky! though once you get to 30 or so points it really starts becoming interesting!

I think overall this is a really great package that hits the mark in almost all aspects, and fits  super well with the modifier!

RIP Percival 😥😥

Impressive score!

Our art pigeon has asked me to tell you that he says thanks (and that is a really lovely comment)

The 3D art and animations were also great and really helped to create a smooth transition between levels.

funny part is that we opted to just reuse the models my brother had originally made for BOSS last year - albeit in a completely different context (he helped with making a couple of the microgame’s this time round). glad you liked the animations though, there was a surprising amount of code jank getting them to accelerate juuuuuuuust right.

The music getting higher and faster was a great touch! Really helped create a sense of urgency.

gotta make sure the music keeps pace with the gameplay 🙃

Also liked the little voice lines!

I think Virety did a great job with them as well.

I didn’t want the speed to increase too quickly, in order to make sure people would have some chance to play it before the difficulty really ramps up, so yeah it does take a while to get going, can’t really avoid that lol.

I think overall this is a really great package that hits the mark in almost all aspects, and fits super well with the modifier!

hooray!

RIP Percival 😥😥

it’s always good to know that at least one other person has been following the Lore™️ (which hopefully has concluded and can save my voice the pain of doing his voice again 🙏‍ (then again this is like the 5th or 6th time I’ve tried killing him off now so hopefully this time sticks))

I got 85 after learnt that you can just click instead of slide with the audio mixing microgame.

My favorite joke was that by saying "debug", you mean the 'murica way 🦅🔫🦅(and you can even see the bullet holes on your laptop😭)

Also, remember to eat your veggies if you can 🥦🥕🫛 Thay have the vitamins and fiber that you need. Don't just eat fried noodles, donuts, and beverages.

Also What's with that boombox and why you only need to smash it once? What's the lore behind it?

That’s an impressive score! Not quite a world record (Koni-kal holds it with 87), but still better than mine!

I shall forward your compliments to our art pigeon 🙏‍

Ah yes. Percival Lore™️. The subplot which has been present in the background of all my SBIGJam entries (ever since The Button Factory in 2020) despite my repeated attempts at killing him off since 2021. The subplot is best experienced for oneself, but it does involve keeping an ear out when playing the games (last year’s addition to the lore involves a message on the SBIGjam discord as well). Also I think this comment is long enough as-is without reiterating the whole can of worms of Percival Lore™️.

It's really fun, I really like it!

This is so frantic and fun! The design of the microgames, audio, and visuals are all top-notch. My high score was 24, playing with a track ball mouse didn’t help haha

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

I bestow unto you the title of current Trackball% world record holder 🙏

(Anywho, if it would be of interest, these microgame’s do seem to work via browser on mobile, if you wanted to take another shot at them with a slightly different control scheme…)

Submitted(+1)

I have a micro smartphone haha, the screen is only 3 inches along the diagonal. I suppose I could set another sweet record as TinyMobileDevice%

I think that’s the current world record. Genuinely impressive work (but is it work? I don’t know).

I don’t know how you did it but this game is so bad it’s gooder than Wario Ware :o

The game is really responsive too, which is very nice, I managed a score of 62 :3

Developer

thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

glad to hear that you enjoyed playing them and that the microgame’s worked well 🙂

This was really well done, it really distills the essence of trying to get a game done in the final hours lol.

I got a score of 37 and am surprised I even got that high lol.

All the minigames are neat, as everyone else mentioned I loved the sleep minigame (and actually enver got caught by it!)

The artwork, animation and sound design are all REALLY well done and feel incredibly snappy and satisfying, but it still has that layer of humour and jank to make it fit perfectly in SBIG.

Another banger!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

it is good to hear that they do manage to walk the fine line between snappiness and jankiness (the hours spent in the snap mines and the jank mines and frantically running between the two in to meet our centrally-mandated quotas of both at the same time have seemingly paid dividends)

Submitted(+1)

Amazing amount of content and the aesthetic really hits that SBIG sweet spot.  Great work!

Developer

thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

(even more content was planned - but we opted to scale it down in order to be able to ship the game on time at a reasonable degree of quality)

Submitted(+1)

It's intense, paced just about perfectly, and hilarious. I love the visual style and the character design as well.

Some of the minigames I found easier than others; the mixing one was the bane of my existence. In some of them, the timing didn't seem to start until I was finished.

I got a score of 50, which I'm pretty happy with!

Developer

thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

the compliments about the visual style have been forwarded to the art pigeon.

(also yes, the timing thing is intentional - some microgame’s are twice as long as usual to give the player a bit more leeway to complete them (the timer looked scuffed at half speed so it only shows up for the latter half of the duration))

28! Is 28 good?!?! Had fun playing with it! Nailed the WarioWare aesthetic. The volume control was the one that kept getting me. Great graphics, great production, was really fun to play.

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

28 is… acceptable.

(re volume control - you can just click the target area, you don’t have to slide it)

The second time around, I got to 36!

thank you so much for to replaying our microgame’s

Just dont play this game ever!!

Really great game, it feels quite polished, but also still the jank that a SBIG game needs. The first time I got the sleep game it tripped me up though, was funny.

Developer

thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

please do not wake up the programmer when she is eepy (unless it is time to wake her up)

Submitted(+1)

The fast-paced WarioWare gameplay is very well done. When the goal was to sleep and I automatically pressed mouse button and lost I've laughed out loud. Also I've lost my life when I picked the correct answer at the prioritize mini-game.

Developer

thank you so much for to playing our microgame’s

I’ll look into that bug and see if I can reproduce it (and then fix it hopefully)

Submitted(+1)

Absolutely perfect. Doing a whole WarioWare knockoff for a game jam is really ambitious, and you executed it flawlessly. My entry is inspired by the series as well, but moreso stylistically.

I got to 73 and drew a cheeky smiley surrounded by worms

Submitted(+1)

I see other people commenting about the 'sleep' game tripping them up, I want to state for the record that I read it correctly every time but after about 5 rounds of it I couldn't resist losing on purpose. Worth it.
