Fun arcadey style game, I like the art and the sound. I really liked how I could just jump long stretches even if it meant I might lose. Fun and cool, good work!

Enjoyable little game :D

The music is a bop for sure, messed me up my first long drop because I was groovin' too hard lol (and I don't even really like 8-bit styled music)

I liked having the choice between "fuck it we ball" and taking every long drop hoping that a piranha wouldn't get me or the "slow and methodical" option, I liked the gambling option more lol

Very flow inducing, great sense of risk/reward for jumping too far. Racing game-style catch up/slow down of the edge felt too unnatural (maybe checkpoints to reset state would be the easiest alternative?) but I've invested all my losses into ghosts anyway.

Nice game! If you decide to update it after the jam, I’d recommend arranging the ghosts in a preset pattern and/or adding warning arrows right before they come on screen, since the space for reaction time right now is really short. But, overall great work!

I liked the good music and pixel art. Enemy encounters are quite random, and it's a shame to die from such accidents. I think it would be better if the ghost had 3 lives and a life-replenishing mechanic—for example, the ability to pick up a +1 life.

I had this idea. I even drew a carrot on the screenshot that was supposed to replenish health haha. Unfortunately didn't have time to implement it. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool game! It looks like it was made in PICO-8. :D

Developer(+1)

Haha you've got sharp eyes! I used PICO-8 color palette

It seems to me the sprites are similar in size to Pico's, too.

Oh yeah, almost forgot that I used Pico’s resolution as well)
