A very good start for novice developers!
There are remarkable issues, however. My honest opinion about the game:

1. The game looks like the genre “eat the planet”, that's why I assessed low on innovation

2. I liked the idea of assets changing when the flame is growing (I believe only several devs make so), but maybe you could add some enemies, like a river, rain, or something like that. Also as @Tazou317 said, it is very possible to get lost in the space, so you could add the ability to find the closest objects

3. The graphics are good, because the flame changes, many various entities. The only issue is that there is no exp that can be seen. I really think that the player would be satisfied to see the result of his actions in that way!

Keep going, I know that you can do your best!

Thank you for your opinion! I am still pretty new to game developing and this feedback really means a lot to me. You are completely right about enemies! We were going to make puddles, but the version that has them has errors that make the game unplayable, that same version also has an EXP counter at the top left! if you want this version or are interested to see it its on my itch.io page, the puddles are still broken however.
Thanks again!

I couldn't get to the ending sequence because I got lost in space and eventually gave up, haha. But overall, I really liked the idea, and the mechanics work well. It was a fun experience, nice job!

After drifting through space for a few minutes without finding anything else to eat, I think I finished the game?

The music was driving me just a tad crazy at the end, but I think the idea is good and not too common, and the animated sprites for the different sizes of the fire are especially well-made, so big props to monk3y, the one credited for making the art!

sorry about the music lol its really repetitive, thats cause it wasnt made by our sound designer but me, and i didnt have much time to polish it and add other things to it, but if you got to the final phase the only thing left to do is eat everything on the planet itself and you will get the endgame sequence!

Submitted

Oh no, it's not because it's actually repetetive. You did a great job, I was just a little lost so I was listening to it for way too long haha

And thank you for telling me, I'll give it another spin to see the end!
