Really impressive game for such a short time, with a bit more polish and content I could see this being a full fledged game on steam or mobile. I really like that there isn't a single correct solution to each puzzle, but a degree of freedom. I had some trouble running it on firefox at first, but once I switched to edge it ran well

THIS GAME Looks so polished !!!! The music and the minimalist art its amazing !!! really good job

I am such a sucker for a minimalist puzzle game, and this is exactly right. It felt so good to stare at a level for a few minutes imagining the route and then it all clicking into place perfectly. Amazing job!

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was originally going for a vibe similar to Monument Valley or Chants of Sennar with the simplistic look, but I’m thinking about theming everything to look like a mountain. Just a little green on top with maybe a few blocky trees and shrubs. What do you think?

Oooo! That could look really good. With the sort of structure you have, you could make different 'skins' for it. Maybe let th eplayer pick what they like, or use it to theme different world or something. Depends on how much you are wanting to add

My first impression was of course monument valley, but the gameplay has it's own "golf" style which is really cool. Fantastic design and presentation, too. Really great job!!

Thank you! Glad you liked it! It seems a lot of people have made the Monument Valley connection. I should play that sometime

FIRSTLY why does this not have more ratings???

this game is phenomenal, its minimalist, simplistic and it has a really good tutorial ingame. it soothes the player into the mechanics. it also feels quite calm, i dont feel like i am succumbing to any pressure. i actually felt physically relaxed while playing this game similar to how i feel when playing stardew valley or suika game. the mechanic at its core was very fun! i honestly see this becoming a steam game or a indie title, it could very well take that direction if you so pleased. its a really good and solid puzzle. it has an amazing atmosphere and i love it.

my only feedback is minor and nitpicky because i loved basically everything. i think that sound effects for moving the terrain could be good. i also think that level 3 was a kinda big difficulty jump in my opinion, didnt feel it much though because it was such a calming atmosphere.

this is an amazing project, i can see it going such a long way. its so fun, its so creative. love it! keep up the good work.

Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed the game! I would love to learn to use FMOD or something like that because I agree, having sounds while sliding makes a lot more sense than just when you grab or release a peg. It's nice to hear that it was a peaceful and calm game for you. I was hoping to create a vibe like that and I'm glad it eased the frustration with the difficulty jump. I rushed level design because I was running out of time. I'll probably redo them once I have some more of the game cleaned up and polished. I wanted to add an undo/redo system, but I couldn't work out the kinks. I think it would also be good to put in an outline system for the people and blocks so you can better see what's moving. If you have any other thoughts, I'd love to hear them! I appreciate the high praise. :)

I really like the game’s visual style. It’s minimalist and simple, but it fits the mechanics perfectly. The gameplay reminds me a little of Monument Valley, while still having a strong identity of its own.

Developer

Thank you! Honestly I wanted to stick to a similar minimalist style, and it did help me focus on other aspects, but the more I built it the more I felt like it needed some color. I'll probably add grass and trees and such later.

The game is nice but you should have told in the description the controls,It took me a lot to understand. And maybe make it so the character can't change direction, only if it stopped in a wall,to make it more like a puzzle.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Sorry, I thought the tutorial text would be enough of an explanation. I'll try to figure out if I can reword it to make it more clear.  Yeah, I tried to lock the rotation during movement but I couldn't get a reliable system running in time to submit. I'd rather let people cheese the game during this jam rather than have the people get stuck constantly, thus forcing restarts.

I plan to develop it more after the jam. I was rather pleased with the general concept and execution. Maybe not the level design though. I had to rush that and still didn't get them all done.
